Bottle - possibly old. The aroma really surprised me - it had some! I am not really a lager guy, if you couldn’t tell. Nice, toasty malt aroma. Dirty gold body with next to no head. Just based on experience my guess would be that it was white. There was still some fizz - surprisingly - and this does hint it the typical lager. The flavor was quite complex for a lager. It started with the toastiness and through the swallow the sweetness comes through and really overpowers - too much. sloth (2921) - Ceciltucky, Co., Maryland, USA - MAY 8, 2005
Small white head thats gone in a flash, a touch of lace left behind. Clear gold color. Tinny, buttery nose. Light/medium body, light creaminess. The buttery aromas comes through on the palate, fairly dominant. Mild maltiness with little to no hop flavor. Finish is lightly sweet. Blech! Tmoney99 (14766) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - APR 12, 2005
Bottle. Golden color with medium white head. Aroma matchs the roasted malt style. Medium flavor of malt with a medium body with short finish. Not nearly as strong as resident state leader Eliot Ness. DougiePhiTau (99) - USA - APR 6, 2005
this is a great beer most won’t get to try this but if you ever see it buy it it is a slighly sweet caramel lager that that has a smooth taste and very pleasant aroma Slick (1969) - Thief River Falls, Minnesota, USA - APR 4, 2005
This brew is courtesy of my Bro, FootBalm.Nice amber/orange color, small white head that faded slowly and left a little lace in the center.Malty sweetish aroma with a light hop presence and a hint of caramel.Kind of flat on the flavor Malty taste with a slight caramel in there and the hops come through decent enough towards the middle and end with just a slight bitterness. As the brew warms up it gets a little better but not much, with just a little more caramel and hops showing through. Not the greatest brew but definately worth trying again.I think this is a brew that might grow on you after a few.

Golden, small white head, some malt in aroma, sweet flavor, light hop finish. Not overly impressive guzzler67 (1696) - Hanover, Maryland, USA - DEC 28, 2004
Clear gold with a tiny head and zero lacing. Aroma did not contribute to the overall enjoyment; malts, maybe. Smooth, sweet flavor that worked well in washing down some pizza, but not something I would break out to impress friends or family. Cute pooch on the label, though. crizay (1050) - Brook Park, Ohio, USA - DEC 21, 2004
UPDATED: JAN 8, 2008 This was real good, very different flavor than a lot of other ones, you can really taste the sweets in it, but was a little too thin , one to get once in a while by itself. hopscotch (11175) - Vero Beach, Florida, USA - DEC 10, 2004
Crystal clear, golden lager with a small, creamy, white head. Good retention and good, cumulus lacing. The nose is sweet and malty with notes of toffee and caramel. The flavor is sweet caramel, toffee and corn. Medium-bodied and creamy with mild carbonation. Lengthy, sweet finish. Overall, it’s cloyingly sweet. Not really my thing. Hazy Apple Juice colored liquid. Little head. Nose of sweet hops. Flavot is a sweet and mediumly malty. NO tang. Flavor is mellow and smooth. Body is unimpressive. Finishes cleanly.
