UPDATED: OCT 6, 2006 The aroma isn’t "delicate" as advertised, it’s a strong, sweet caramel with some hot buttered toast - a bit overbearing, actually. Nice look, a clear bronze with heavy beading and a a frothy white head. The taste is tamer than the nose, crispy toast with with a daub of caramel. The caramel returns too strongly in the finish, causing my teeth to ache.hophead75 (2012) - Largo, Florida, USA - OCT 2, 2006

GABF 06. Aroma is caramel malts, and toasty malt. Taste is caramel and toasted malt, with a smooth finish. not bad. zebracakes (1339) - Washington DC, USA - SEP 4, 2006
Bottle. Pours hazy gold, off white head. Aroma is malt and caramel. Flavor is caramel, vanilla, sugar, malt. This is way too sweet. TheBeerGod (6224) - Newport News, Virginia, USA - SEP 4, 2006
Bottle. Golden body with a small white head. Nose is malty and sweet with soft meon notes and caramel. Taste is malty and sweet as well with a bit of citrus and lightly spiced hops. Body is light-medium with mild carbonation. Finishes with more citrus notes, sweet malts and caramel. User37895 (3042) - - AUG 31, 2006
Ah, I just don’t like the thick and sticky sweet take on lagers, these things should be a lot crisper. The aroma was too much caramel, the flavor followed suit. Very light toasting underneat the sweet and malty caramel, but the sticky sweetness was rather disappointing, especially with this one being labelled a godlen heroic lager?

Dry malty, buttery, sandalwood aroma. Homebrewy at times and unusual. Hazy light tea color. Diacetyls - butter, caramel. Easy drinking. Some cereal and straw, sweet on the lips. Mouthy. BuckeyeBoy (7680) - Boise, Idaho, USA - AUG 12, 2006
12 oz Bottle pours out a haze gold almost no head. A lot of grain to it. not a good one that is for sure. IndianaRed (4627) - Boise, Idaho, USA - AUG 12, 2006
Bottle pours a sllightly hazy light yellow amber with a medium off white head. Aroma is a typical light laget with some sweet corn and other light grains. Flavor is similar but a bit sharp and bitter. LIngering sweet honey and slightly bitter grain bitterness.
Thanks Buckeyeboy again for this one. pinkzambia (1931) - Boise, Idaho, USA - AUG 12, 2006
Bottle: Clear gold color with a extremely quickly diminishing head. Corny and malty sweet aroma. It has an astringent taste with honey that wishes I had the Thirsty Dog Siberian Night. Not that good -- but thanks anyway, BuckeyeBoy. jason (1834) - Easton, Pennsylvania, USA - JUL 25, 2006
Bottle. Ugh! This was terrible. Not well balanced with a terrible granny smith apple taste to it.
