Great beer. Nose of apples, snappy biscuit and pear hops, wheat, corn cob and stewed peaches. Thick, hoppy and sweet, then it turns just the slightest bit sour (yeast?), before finishing as a gooey old apple and pear thing. Great stuff.

12 oz Bottle pours out a haze gold almost no head. A lot of grain to it. not a good one that is for sure.

12oz bottle. Beer pours a clear golden color. The aroma is malts, grain, caramel. Flavor is a light caramel, with notes of sugar and grain.

Head is initially small, fizzy, off-white, fully diminishing.

Body is dark yellow to light amber.

Aroma is moderately malty (toasted grain), trace hops (herbs).

Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly bitter.
Finish is lightly sweet, lightly to moderately bitter.

Medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation.

This pours with a light orange color, more than "golden", nicely active and with just the barest remnants of a white head. There’s a light bready aroma. I like the texture ... pleasantly carbonated. Wow, this is yeastier than I’d expected almost like underbaked bread. Lightly caramelled, almost citric. Nice flavors. Nice beer. (#2666, 1/27/07)

Subtle honey and grain on the nose. Amber color, medium white head. Moderately strong tinny taste of mulberry and yeast. Grass finish. There’s a slightly soapy presence throughout.

POured a light straw yellow color with a white head. Aroma was grassy some caramel and thats about it. Flavor was much the same, really bland, some hints of hop bitterness detected as well.

thedm (6320) - Fort Wayne, Indiana, USA - SEP 7, 2003
This brew poured a small head of bubbles that left behind a fiar lacing and transparent brown colored uncarbonated body. Its mouthfeel was hoppy and acidic and it had a very mild undiscernable aroma. The flavor was mild malted slightly hoppy and dialectyl.

TheBeerGod (6261) - Newport News, Virginia, USA - SEP 4, 2006
Bottle. Golden body with a small white head. Nose is malty and sweet with soft meon notes and caramel. Taste is malty and sweet as well with a bit of citrus and lightly spiced hops. Body is light-medium with mild carbonation. Finishes with more citrus notes, sweet malts and caramel.

Retired? Guess it’s a good thing I found a bottle when I did!

Aroma is strong, malty and fruity. It pours a clear golden amber with a thick off-white head that does not stick around too long. Flavor does not quite match the aroma, being malty with a hint of fruit and a touch of hops but mostly unremarkable; still, it satisfies. Texture is smooth and tingly, rather typical.
