bottle - Pours hazy gold with a very thin head. It has an extremely light malt aroma. The flavor is good sweet malts balanced by some mild hops, more hops than I expected to notice in a 9 IBU beer. It’s medium bodied and bubbly on the palate. Not bad. LinusStick (3530) - Moon Twp, suburb of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA - NOV 12, 2007
A wierd Vienna. Aroma was very weak. Could pick up some light malt but not without some serious sniffin’. Pour was incredibly light for a vienna. Light orange but with a beautiful 2 finger white head and...what is that....sediment?! In a Vienna? I’ll take it! Taste was not very Vienna-like. PIneapple, light fruit and sweet malt. A tad of a bitter aftertaste that goes away quick. Vienna? Not really IMO but pretty good. shrubber85 (11706) - Greenville, Indiana, USA - DEC 26, 2007
Bottle. Caramelized malt aroma. Yellow-amber color with small head. Caramelized malt flavor with a light hops finish. Nice drinkable beer. jcr (2784) - Jasper, Indiana, USA - FEB 5, 2008
Cloudy, dark golden pour. Short white head. Strong aroma of sweet malts and grain (sweetened breakfast cereal) with big notes of caramel and apricot. The flavor is moderately sweet and lightly bitter. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Watery texture. Sweet, caramel and honey-like finish. This is really close to being a very drinkable beer, but the sweetness gets to you about half-way through the bottle. Goodgrief (2069) - Middletown, Delaware, USA - MAR 23, 2008
Oct. 2007 - Orange brown pour with almost no head or lacing. Chunky yeasties in the bottom. Flavor was light caramel, sweet with a bitter/sour finish. There were also some notable citrus aspects, sweet overripe grapefruit. Very disappointing from a brewer that I love their other offerings....

Bottle from Whole Foods Charlottesville. Pours a slightly cloudy amber with a fizzy head. Bitter, grainy aroma. Grain and caramel taste. Medium bodied. Not bad. alexsdad06 (11222) - West Chester, Ohio, USA - OCT 4, 2008
12 oz. botle. Pours a hazy dark golden/light amber color with a small off white head. There is some sediment that comes with the pour. The aroma is light caramel, toasted bread, and a hint of bitterness. The flavor has caramel malt, honey sweetness, a light amount of fruit, and some bitterness in the finish. Medium bodied at best, slightly watery and thin. Not bad, maybe better than I expected. hotstuff (5278) - Fort Wayne, Indiana, USA - AUG 24, 2003
The Rathskeller Wine & Beer Fest:When poured, this beer had a small sized tan head with a clear body and no carbonation. The hue was yellow-gold and the nose was malty as was the flavor. The mouthfeel of this beer was smooth. Not much to expand on with this one. hopscotch (11409) - Vero Beach, Florida, USA - DEC 10, 2004
Crystal clear, golden lager with a small, creamy, white head. Good retention and good, cumulus lacing. The nose is sweet and malty with notes of toffee and caramel. The flavor is sweet caramel, toffee and corn. Medium-bodied and creamy with mild carbonation. Lengthy, sweet finish. Overall, it’s cloyingly sweet. Not really my thing. bethmatt0421 (337) - Covington, Kentucky, USA - APR 22, 2006
Color is golden, and cloudy. Aroma is lightly sweet chocolate, with a lager softness. Flavor is pretty much the same. Abrupt finish. Not very refreshing though. A decent, run of the mill lager.
