Color is golden, and cloudy. Aroma is lightly sweet chocolate, with a lager softness. Flavor is pretty much the same. Abrupt finish. Not very refreshing though. A decent, run of the mill lager. Cornfield (5569) - Oak Forest, Illinois, USA - OCT 5, 2006
UPDATED: OCT 6, 2006 The aroma isn’t "delicate" as advertised, it’s a strong, sweet caramel with some hot buttered toast - a bit overbearing, actually. Nice look, a clear bronze with heavy beading and a a frothy white head. The taste is tamer than the nose, crispy toast with with a daub of caramel. The caramel returns too strongly in the finish, causing my teeth to ache.alexanderj (3605) - Branson, Missouri, USA - JUN 26, 2007

Bottle; pours a golden copper with a small to medium white head. Aroma of caramel and citrus, a little sweetness and honey. Flavor is caramel and toasted malt; Some citrus, with a sweet finish. Some breadiness and yeast in the flavor too. Good for the style, and nice on a warm summer day. Crafty07 (404) - Florence, Kentucky, USA - OCT 29, 2007
Misdirection. Is this a ’golden lager’ or a Vienna/Marzen? If the brewer doesnt’ know what kind of beer he’s brewing why should I care? It’s a tasty beer, caramel and some fruit (though not every fruit in God’s earth as the reviewers here would have you believe. I mean come on, mulberries?) give this lager some complexity but it’s not quite as ’heroic’ as this dog on the label must have been Dorwart (2609) - Robbinsville, New Jersey, USA - NOV 10, 2007
Thin head of medium sized bubbles which does not last long. Large amount of large chunky floaters in there. Almost look like coffee grounds. Sweet and fruity aroma with some pineapple, light malts and roasted grains. Color is a medium dark orange. Flavor is thin and sort of dry. Light malt presence with some more pineapple and a bit of spice. Finishes pretty clean and rather boring. An ok brew.

Pours out a yellow color with a white head. Flavor is not much more than a your run of the mill lager. Aroma is a little sweet and fruity. jmuhops (669) - Winchester, Virginia, USA - APR 25, 2006
Pours gold with a one-finger white head. Sweet aroma with a good dose of nuts and dough. There’s a sharp caramel smell that hits me hard once every few whiffs. Flavor starts out like a fine Vienna--smooth, nutty, and malty--but soon turns harsh, with a lingering caramelly metallic taste. The aftertaste is a tad buttery and too sharp to make this as drinkable as it should be. heemer77 (5360) - Urbandale, Iowa, USA - MAY 18, 2006
Dark gold body with a thin slightly off white head. The aroa had some light apple cider with some notes of old hay. The taste had some peanuts with a little bit of green beans. There is also some slight paper in the finish. An ok bee,r but a little too sweet for me. porterhouse (1580) - Boothbay, Maine, USA - OCT 20, 2006
(Bottle from Tully’s) Seems kind of uninspired...Pours slightly hazy slightly orange golden with three fingers of off white head. Head forms some globs on surface after receding. Aroma initially bready but when head recedes there’s only a very light trace of caramel and perhaps some sour. Mouthfeel a little rough, lightly prickly, medium-body. No real lacing. Flavor is kind of weakly malty with a hint of sour citrus. Lightly bitter finish. Really seems more like a helles than a Vienna. This could be an older bottle based on the overall lackluster flavor, globs on the surface and light sour notes. MAP (1133) - Lakewood, Ohio, USA - APR 27, 2004
Good orange golden color with a small amount of head on top. Aroms is a wheat and honey goodness. Flavor is not nearly as good. A somewhat leafy uninspired mix with a palate which could use a tad more of a mouthfeel.
