12 ounce bottle. Aroma us a sweet caramel with a hint of molasses. Deep malt character that is well balanced with a tiny hint of spice in the back end. Palate is fairly thick, a really good American oktoberfest.

Pours a clear copper with a thin white head. It has a slight spicy aroma with hints of earth and hay. It tastes medium sweet with a hint of bitter. The body is thin with crisp texture. I’m not a fan of Oktoberfest beers and this one doesn’t really help. It isn’t a beer that I’ll remember or even try to recall.

Trying to get in some marzens before the season is over and had never tried this one before. Pours a clear amber with no head. Faint aromas of spice and malts. Flavor is par for the course for marzens. Lots of malts and a bit watery but tasty.

Bottle. Clear amber color with a thin, off white head. Caramel malt and baked biscuit flavor with some subtle spices in the finish. Dry texture with average carbonation. A middle of the road marzen at a bit of an inflated price.

5oz taster on tap at Cincinnati Beer Fest. Totally clear orange / amber color. Good bigger off-white head. Caramel malt, breadiness in the aroma. Good lace. Medium body, smooth lighter carbonation. More dry finish. Moderate bitter taste. Solid oktoberfest.

Not worth brewing. Usual Oktoberfest. Nothing bad---but nothing worth buying. Clear amber color, modest head, and average body.

This bottled beer pours a small ivory head, transparent body, no visible carbonation, spotty amounts of lacing, and a golden hue. The Aroma is malt and caramel. The Taste is semi-sweet, malty and caramel. The Palate is smooth and this beer is medium bodied. Overall, this beer needs more flavor as it was boring to drink and rate.

12 oz bottle. Amber pour, foamy white head. Grain and toast, nutty, biscuit, herbal, light caramel. Medium-full, quite sticky. One of the less impressive offerings I’ve had from Thirsty Dog.

bottle. Amber with small head. Extremely overdone with the spicing. A little bit of sublety could have gone a long way here.
