Pours a translucent copper with a white dad of foam that fizzles out quickly. Aroma is grainy and has a sort of rye spiciness to it. That spicy note comes through in tshe taste and rides it out through to the finish. Interesting take on the style.

shonobiwan (219) - Sound Beach, New York, USA - JAN 9, 2013
Long Island, NY - 12 oz. bottle poured a dark amber color with no head or lacing. Aroma was generic lager like. Taste was rather malty with excessive sweetness. Not the greatest brew ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

12 ounce bottle. Thanks JSquire! Pours a clear copper with a small off-white head. Aroma of malt, caramel, and grain. Taste is similar with a bit of hops. OK.

demmbonz (732) - Erin, Wisconsin, USA - DEC 7, 2012
12oz bottle to mini-dimple. Below average okto. Slightly sweet malt flavor.

Gription79 (2891) - Bountiful, Utah, USA - NOV 15, 2012
Poured from a 12 ounce bottle. Toasted malts, roasted malts, caramels, toffee, off earthy character. Not the best fest beer that I have had.

doboy (424) - Morehead City, North Carolina, USA - NOV 3, 2012
Pours a clear amber with nice carbonation and a ver light white lacy head. Aroma is hoppy. Taste is sweet malt with a hint of hops. Nice rich mouthfeel. Good aftertaste. Not a bad beer!

maxwelldeux (4374) - Snohomish, Washington, USA - OCT 24, 2012
Bottle. Pours a slightly hazy amber color with very little head. Strong malty nose on this that is almost, but not quite, like caramel. Similar malty taste that is just a little overpowering for my taste. Not quite sweet; more of a malty bitterness.

jsquire (4489) - St. Marys, Ohio, USA - OCT 5, 2012
Amber color out of the bottle with a thin off white head. Light grainy nose. Flavors of wet grains, some toast and apple fruitinesss and a bitter burnt grain finish. Okay seasonal.

Gooney (389) - Portland, Oregon, USA - OCT 3, 2012
On tap in Peninsula, OH. - light brown pour. Aroma of...nutmeg? Definite spice on the tongue. There has to be nutmeg in here. Maybe cinnamon, too. Surprising at first, but better as you go.

UPDATED: OCT 2, 2012 Pours a clear amber with creamy head. Light malty aroma, not much else. Very sweet and sticky, general malty caramel taste. Overall: Not a big fan of the style, but this is a pretty good example.
