#2000 Draft at Sergio’s. Black with a creamy brown head. Scent is coffee, boubon and chocolate. Taste is Amazing! Dark bitter chocolate, coffee with notes of vanilla and oak. Fantastic stout! bubbleflubber (2227) - Swannanoa, North Carolina, USA - JUL 28, 2013
This pours opaque black with a light tan head that leaves a tiny ring of suds. The nose is of deeply toasted, sweet caramel and light roasts. Flavors follow suit, with smoked toffee, toasty caramel, bourbon-soaked figs and dates, chocolate and vanilla candies, oak-infused molasses and subtle dark maple syrup. The finish continues with smoky sweetness, complemented by roasted dark-cherry caramels, introducing just a hint of peppering alcohol. This aged offering has a full body with an oily, semi-sticky mouthfeel, integrating soft carbonation to make the quaff so very smooth! This is extremely comforting and complex, taking one of the most respected brews I’ve had and kicking it up a notch! Thick, gorgeous and beautiful, this is superbly second-to-none!! Pours an opaque dark brown color almost black like oil with khaki colored head. Bourbon, oak, chocolate, vanilla, and some roast on the nose; follows onto the palate. Full bodied. Finishes with bourbon and chocolate. Hopper8 (178) - Holland, Michigan, USA - JUN 4, 2017
This is a very good beer. Black pour with a thicker tan head. There is a distinct vanilla and bourbon aroma. Chocolately with fig and barley present. Overall enjoyable and sippable. TonyDiUlio (664) - New Jersey, USA - NOV 25, 2011
Had at capons event with james, Dallas and andrew. Pour is dark dark brown. Nice lace. Aroma is sweet malts and dark Pomegranate. Flavor is sweet malts and ton of chocolate.

The barrel aged version of this is very nice. The aging brings about some fantastic Vanilla qualities to the espresso chocolate qualities to this Imperial Stout. The barrel agin also in my opinion mellows this beer nicely. It adds just the right amount of Whiskey nuances without going overboard. Truly these qualities enhance an already fantastic beer adding complexity that is enjoyable and memorable. Beerman6686 (6607) - Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA - JUN 17, 2013
This one poured a very dark brown to black with a tan head. Aroma was big bourbon, fudge, light smoke, and vanilla. Flavor is similar, but not as big on the bourbon, very well rounded combo of a great impy and ba qualities . Not closing at all and even at 11% i could easily have a few of these. eelbasher (285) - New Jersey, USA - SEP 23, 2013
12oz to wine glass. Super inky black pour with a dark brown head. Huge vanilla, chocolate, roasted malts, brownie, smooth bourbon, and coffee. Insanely smooth and delicious! Almost like a liquid brownie sundae. Oak, chocolate, vanilla, roasted malts, and more throughout. The alcohol is damn near hidden. Just A+ stuff here! superspak (5591) - Michigan, USA - JAN 3, 2016
12 ounce bottle into snifter glass, bottled in Spring 2013. Pours dense pitch black color with a nice 2 finger dense and rocky dark tan head with great retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lasts. Nice dense soapy lacing clings around the glass. Aromas of big dark/milk chocolate, cocoa, coffee, molasses, toffee, dark bread, vanilla, bourbon, toasted oak, coconut, light licorice/raisin, light smoke/char, and roast/oak earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of dark/roasted malt and bourbon barrel notes; with great strength. Taste of huge dark/milk chocolate, cocoa, coffee, vanilla, molasses, toffee, dark bread, bourbon, toasted oak, coconut, light licorice/raisin, light smoke/char, and roast/oak earthiness. Light-moderate roast/char bitterness and bourbon/oak spiciness on the finish; with lingering notes of milk chocolate, cocoa, coffee, vanilla, molasses, toffee, dark bread, bourbon, toasted oak, coconut, light smoke/char, and roast/oak earthiness on the finish for a while. Incredible complexity, robustness, and balance of dark/roasted malt and bourbon barrel flavors; with a great roasted bitter/sweet and oak/bourbon spiciness balance with zero cloying flavors after the finish. Light-medium carbonation and full bodied; with very smooth, creamy/silky, and lightly slick/chalky balanced mouthfeel that is fantastic. Alcohol is very well hidden with only a light warmth present after the finish. Overall this is an incredible BA imperial stout. All around fantastic complexity, robustness, and balance of dark/roasted malt and bourbon barrel flavors; and very smooth to sip on for the big ABV. An insanely delicious offering. bierenjoyer1 (103) - Illinois, USA - JAN 15, 2016
Malts, cocoa, coffee, fig, bourbon and oak permeate the aroma. Pours black with a medium brown down that dissapates. The taste is big with malt, cocoa, liquorice, fig, coffee, bourbon, smoked oak, and alcohol but this brew does not have that typical heavy feel of big barrel aged stouts. The palate is malty with some residual carbonation. This is a very good sipping beer that should sit for about 15 minutes before enjoying so the aroms and flavors can reveal themselves.
