Looking this beer up while standing nearby I could not believe I had not tried it before. A fine example of a berliner weiss doesn’t appeal to tricks to deliver a pleasing experience. If this ever gets into regular rotation as a seasonal I could see it doing well to audiences tired of the average IPA or stout.
Aroma / Appearance - A golden body and thin head fill the glass with carefree ease. Tart wheat and citrus cut through a foundation of sourness which balances on the knife’s edge between dull and too acidic.
Flavor / Palate - Light and tart textures fill the mouth with a refreshing feel. Citrus and vinegar carry the waves of liquid from start to finish. A few sips is all it takes to get a handle but I could still easily drink a bottle (or pint). Hopefully I get a chance in the future.
Draft to taster at Dutch’s. Looks solid; a cloudy orange with ample eggshell head that slowly but steadily dissipates into lacing. Smells semi-tart and mildly lactic with notes of citrus and tropical fruit alongside some wheat. Tastes like it smells, but more lactic, with a pleasantly tart medium-bodied mouthfeel. Enjoyable. On tap at Columbus Winter Beerfest. Holy shit. Huge lemon citrus, bit of bready wheat. Good bigger sourness. Light to moderate sweet. Hazy lighter golden color. Thin white head, good bits of lace. Medium body. Good full feel. Wow. The guy pouring this compared it to Jackie-O’s. I think he may be on-point. Damn! Great lemon citrus funk, peppery hop. Mild lactic. Awesome. ryanscourt (1531) - Latrobe, Pennsylvania, USA - JAN 30, 2016
Outstanding sour. One of the most puckering I’ve ever had. Not too strong of an aroma-great beer.

Draft at the Giant Eagle cafe in Pittsburgh. This was way out of my taste range in sourness and I could barely get even a mouthful down. My wife loved it however. Tmoney99 (14970) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - JUL 16, 2015
Tap. Poured hazy golden color with an average frothy white head that mostly lasted with good lacing. Moderate to heavy wheat and sour citrus aroma. Medium body with a smooth texture and soft carbonation. Medium sour flavor with a medium sour finish of moderate duration. Interesting good beer. Draft at Lizardville. Dark orange-brown haze with one finger head in a tulip. Solid aroma of fruits, vinegar, slight funk, and musk. The taste was very good with delicate fruits like orange, peach, and mango. The tartness is solid with some acidity and a musk finish. Decent carb. A big BW. Moderate sourness. Very nice!! On tap at Winking Lizard in Grandview. Hazy yellow gold pour with slight white ring. Aroma of vinegar, tart fruit, wheat. Tastes are the same - even sharp lemon orange tartness. Slick thin palate. Very nice. 7.6 alexsdad06 (10805) - West Chester, Ohio, USA - JUN 26, 2015
Draft to taster at Dutch’s. Pours a hazy golden color with a few random bubbles. The aroma is tart citrus, lemon, pale wheat malts. The flavor has tart citrus, lemon, pale wheat malts, finishes softer and malty with the sour character fading.
