Pours a hazy dark red-brown with light tan head. A strong caramel malt, sweet dark fruit and spice aroma. A sweet caramel, malt, dark fruit, winter spices, honey, and bourbon taste. A lingering bourbon and dark fruit malt aftertaste. EBROVIAK (41) - - JUL 23, 2016
Way too boozy. It’s one thing to bourbon barrel age but cmon. There may be other flavors in there but I can’t find them. Drjohnrock (841) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - JAN 25, 2016
Draft at MOTR Pub at X______X concert on January 23, 2016. At first I thought this was the regular edition of this beer. But the words scribbled on the tap handle in black magic marker weren’t very clear, and the taste is definitely one of a beer that’s barrel aged. Plus, it was served in proper glassware (read: smaller glass), something I haven’t known MOTR Pub to do much. Nice dark amber/brown color, sweet malty/spicy aroma that’s a cut above a lot of Christmas/winter brews, smooth but rich flavor of malt/bourbon/vanilla/spice with the spice--and, thankfully, the bourbon--not overdone. Very fine beer that’s made for slow sipping on a cold winter night. Fritz123 (1597) - Boca Raton, Florida, USA - NOV 28, 2015
Poured into a snifter at the tasting room. Muddy light brown with small head. No lace. Aroma is some holiday spices like cinnamon, nutmeg, pie spice, anise, and caramely malts. Some breads and toffee. Taste is mild malts, caramel. toffee, spices from the nose, and some mild barrel. Medium mouth, mild carbonation. Slick. Not much in the BA department but it was good. phaleslu (10668) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - JUL 25, 2015
Draft at HalfCut, served in a flight. I was surprised I’d never had this before, or maybe I have and just never rated it. In any case, it pours a cloudy amber color with a small off-white head that leaves streaks of lace in the glass while settling into a ring and wispy film. Notes of vanilla, nutmeg, ginger, brown sugar, caramel, honey, oak, and leaves. Light-medium bodied - seemingly a little thinned from the barrel aging - with a smooth, sweet, spicy mouthfeel and moderate carbonation. Good, and pretty much on par with how much I like the base beer.

Magnum bottle during RBWG Grand Tasting. Pours a copper with medium off white head that lasts. The aroma is spice and oak. Medium mouth, strong oak, spice, boozy finish, good. AndyReynolds (1085) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - DEC 25, 2014
Giant fucking bottle of Christmas cheer. Deck the mother fucking halls, bitches...all yeah! FROTHINGSLOSH (8142) - GREENSBURG, Pennsylvania, USA - DEC 25, 2014
UPDATED: DEC 26, 2014 Sampled on draft at Hou Thou this beer poured a murky reddish-brown color with a small foamy dark tan head that left good lacing. The aroma was strong bourbon and a hint of fruit. The flavor was strong bourbon, vanilla, coconut, toasty malts and a bit of fruit. Boozy but in a way that enhanced rather than detracted. Long finish. Moderately full bodied. Very nice. sturmthis (1195) - Bavaria, GERMANY - DEC 13, 2014
Cooper color with one finger head. Bourbon aroma with spices. Bourbon, dark fruit and other spices on the taste.. Leaves a warm feelings on the finish. Solid. cpetrone84 (1810) - Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA - DEC 9, 2014
On tap at the brewery. Pour is dark murky brown with a tight light tan head. Nose is bourbon forward, a hint chalky with notes of caramel malt, a touch of spice with some sweet berry malt. Taste is a bit more spicy, the barrel is a little lighter in the flavor, the malt sweetness comes out more through the finish. Fairly well integrated and not overly sweet with strong carb and a medium body.
