UPDATED: DEC 26, 2014 Sampled on draft at Hou Thou this beer poured a murky reddish-brown color with a small foamy dark tan head that left good lacing. The aroma was strong bourbon and a hint of fruit. The flavor was strong bourbon, vanilla, coconut, toasty malts and a bit of fruit. Boozy but in a way that enhanced rather than detracted. Long finish. Moderately full bodied. Very nice. sturmthis (1195) - Bavaria, GERMANY - DEC 13, 2014
Cooper color with one finger head. Bourbon aroma with spices. Bourbon, dark fruit and other spices on the taste.. Leaves a warm feelings on the finish. Solid. cpetrone84 (1810) - Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA - DEC 9, 2014
On tap at the brewery. Pour is dark murky brown with a tight light tan head. Nose is bourbon forward, a hint chalky with notes of caramel malt, a touch of spice with some sweet berry malt. Taste is a bit more spicy, the barrel is a little lighter in the flavor, the malt sweetness comes out more through the finish. Fairly well integrated and not overly sweet with strong carb and a medium body. outlawskies (564) - Ohio, USA - DEC 7, 2014

On tap, poured into a snifter. The aroma starts with pine sol and a soap note, but that fades and then caramel creeps in with citrus and floral notes late. It’s a murky copper colored beer fuzzy with a dense, tan lace that retains a thick ring and a full, fuzzy surface with good lacing. The taste is highly sweet with a medium bitterness. The chewy beer has a fuzzy carbonation and a full body with lots of caramel and secondary flavors of citrus and wood, and it has a ratger boozy, alcohol finish with light spice notes. There’s a dry, smokey and waxy, chocolate bar aftertaste that lingers.

Draft pour at the source. Kind of pricy at $8 for an 8 ounce pour. Pours a clear copper with a beige head of foam. The aroma is big barrel and moderate spice. Taste is boozy and sweet. Thick body and medium carbonation. jmikolich (1486) - North Ridgeville, Ohio, USA - JAN 10, 2014
Magnum bottle, shared by Brett. 1,000 made this year and i’m not surprised they sit on the shelves at 42$ for a bottle. pretty boring mild spice profile and the base beer itself is very bland.. needs more punch from the bourbon and it just doesnt get there.. needs more flavor, and more body. This one poured a hazy orange to brown color with a beige head. Aroma was bourbon, spices, caramel and dark fruit. Flavor was not much barrel, mainly caramel, light chocolate and some spices. zach8270 (4021) - Henrietta, New York, USA - SEP 24, 2013
(bottle - magnum - 2012 vintage) Muddy brown color with a tan head. Tons of spice and sweet bourbon in the aroma. Cinnamon and nutmeg dominate the flavor at the start but give way to the sweet wood and vanilla hints of the bourbon. The bourbon elevates the spice but not to an undrinkable level. Very smooth and warming. hopdog (13258) - Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA - MAY 30, 2013
1 liter, over priced ($50) bottle. Deep brown with an off white head. Honey, spices, very light barrel aging noticed, and vanilla. Very drinkable for 10% and this one actually was better than I would have thought going in.
