COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
We took our award winning Siberian Night Russian Imperial Stout and aged it for 11 months in fresh bourbon barrels. The result blew us away. The dark chocolate malt yields a milk chocolate flavor that blends perfectly with the vanilla flavor from the barrel. The bourbon aroma adds the finishing touch.
2013 vintage: 10.9% abv, 58 IBU

12 oz bottle hazelnuts, raisins, hot chocolate mix and dark cherries. Little cola carbination on the after taste. It’s not thin by any means but definitely not dense. Great beer!

beerluva (51) - Monroe, Connecticut, USA - OCT 23, 2017
Pours opaque black with a nice lasting tan head. Aromas of licorice and even some banana bread. Roasted malty sweetness on the tongue which lingers. bourbon influence is there but not boozy. Very tasty!

3.3
Erzengel (9899) - Wuppertal, GERMANY - OCT 7, 2017
Woody Bourbon nose. The beer starts fresh and woody. Intense woody, a bit too much woody bourbon, not too round. A bit sweetish with not too much depth - the wood takes a bit of the original aroma away. Very sad.

Beerhunter111 (23784) - Beerland, GERMANY - OCT 7, 2017
Bottle shared with Erzengel! A black beer with a mid-sized most good lasting tan head. Aroma of sweet dark malt, sweet wood, bourbon. Taste of sweet bourbon malt, oak, liquorice, too sweet.

Chalumeaux (1911) - Middleton, Massachusetts, USA - SEP 24, 2017
Poured from bottle black pour with a creamy cocoa head. Aromas of roasted malt chocolate and notes of bourbon. Taste is slightly sour dark fruit chocolate alcohol. Might be infected. Shame.
