This beer is made with one grain and 4 Belgian yeasts, a deceptive golden color, and a malty palate lend complexity to this Belgian Trippel Ale. ABV = 10%, IBU’s = 31, OG = 23.1 P

The three headed Hellhound of Greek Mythology, that stood at the gates to Hades, lends his name and three heads to this elegant, full bodied Belgian Style Trippel Ale. A deceptive golden color and wonderful malty palate bring bold complexity to this big brew.

Zenwolf (269) - Waterloo, Ontario, CANADA - OCT 8, 2010
Bottle share with Andrew56. Disappointing brew. Low carbonation which is good. High fruity alcohol taste which is bad. It poured a fairly rich golden color with strong hay and citrus in the nose. This brew missed the mark.

barncatmatt (2286) - Cambridge, Ontario, CANADA - SEP 24, 2010
355ml bottle from a trade with zenwolf. pours clear yellow with a minimal white head. almost no carbonation. terrible triple, bordering on malt liquor. triples have to be bottle conditioned and well carbonated to work. filter and force carb and you end up with a flabby malt liqour.

verymerrymonk (413) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - SEP 13, 2010
Pours a murky orange body with a thin but lasting white head. Flavor is tart apples dominated by spicy yeast and an alcohol bite. Good stuff.

glennmastrange (2868) - hobe sound, Florida, USA - SEP 9, 2010
Bottle. Moderate grain for the malt, moderate to heavy lemon and perfume for the hops, moderate earth and soap for the yeast with hints of apple, coriander, wood and white wine. Head is small, wispy, white with some lacing and is fully diminishing. Color is slightly hazy lemon yellow. Flavor starts moderately sweet and lightly acidic, then finishes lightly sweet and moderately acidic and bitter. Palate is on the fuller side of medium, oily with a soft carbonation and a lightly astringent finish. An okay Tripel, bold but just a little too abrupt in flavor.

Strykzone (7356) - Wood River, Illinois, USA - AUG 18, 2010
An effervescent golden beer that has a nice thick yellowish head. Oodles of bubbles float up. Very pleasant fruit aroma with yeast and honey. Flavor begins buttery with citrus fruit, yeast, honey, banana. Finish brought out some hops and was on the sour side. Tasty.

polomagnifico (1202) - Saginaw, Michigan, USA - AUG 18, 2010
Bottle has notes of hay, cough drop, citrus and sweet dough. Medium yellow hue with a small white head that mostly diminished and left some lace. Flavor is sweet and musty. Palate is medium bodied and watery soft. Overall a good Tripel but I found it highlighted everything I don’t like about the style. Too much cough drop.

shp555 (2024) - Atlanta, Georgia, USA - JUL 30, 2010
Pours a golden color with a white head. Aroma is honey, apple, some vanilla, and slightly spicy. Flavor is honey, apple, toast, some vanilla, and a spicy earthy finish.

Butters (4059) - Richmond, Virginia, USA - JUL 30, 2010
Clear golden pour with suspended small granules and white head with lacing. Nose is like cleaning supplies, chlorine, with sweet banana and cane sugar as it warms. Flavor is very sweet alcohol and vanilla, and a little bandaid antiseptic. A little cloying on the palate.

JaBier (7972) - Capital City, Ohio, USA - JUL 17, 2010
Sample at the tripel tasting at Blacklick Wine & Spirits on 7/15/10. Clearish gold pour with a thin white head. Aroma of banana, clove, herbs and a bit of pepper. Banana and clove flavor with a thick full sweet finish.

decaturstevo (6244) - decatur, Tennessee, USA - JUL 7, 2010
Golden yellow pour with creamy white head and lace. Wheat, abv, bread, and brown sugar. Light wheat, yeast, abv, and brown sugar. Medium bodied with good carbonation.
