COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
American IPA bursting with citrus aromas and flavors. Youll find evidence of tangerine, grapefruit, orange and mango in the aroma from the multiple additions of a single hop variety, Citra. There is also a nice malt balance in this bitter, full bodied, doglicious IPA that is a citrus lovers delight.

Aroma is pine, an undercurrent of bread, mild spiciness and a hint of mustiness. The flavor is complex citrus, fruit, grapefruit, malts and a bitter/tart/tangy finish.

Pours a clear golden color with a good head that fades quickly. The aroma is surprisingly weak, but pleasant with fresh green hops with grapefruit and orange notes. The taste is pleasant: a prominent but not dominant hop bitterness that is well balanced with the malt backbone. There are nice grapefruit notes (and orange, once it warms), but they arent as aggressive as I would have hoped given the name. Overall, a very solid summertime beer that Ill get again, but there is nothing particularly unique about it. Its a bit more pleasant than my ratings indicate, but I expected more from the promise of citra hops indicated in the title and dinged it a bit for that.

At a tasting, thanks zvikar, smallish head, hazy lightish orange colour, aroma of guava and rose petals, with some yeastiness and a hint of malt in the back, flavour of orange marmalade, some citrus and bready malt with an empathic herbal bitterness. Nice and enjoyable just not too fresh.

Bottle from Connoisseurs. Pours a mostly clear yellow with a white head. Nose is some mild caramel and nice citrus, orange, grapefruit, and some tropical fruit. Flavor is similar- not the burst of citra, but a nice suggestion and follow through of citra. Light to medium in body and nice overall.
