COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
American IPA bursting with citrus aromas and flavors. Youll find evidence of tangerine, grapefruit, orange and mango in the aroma from the multiple additions of a single hop variety, Citra. There is also a nice malt balance in this bitter, full bodied, doglicious IPA that is a citrus lovers delight.

The aroma jumps right out on you on draft. Very good offering from Thirsty Dog. Lots of resin. Have had it on draft three times and its been a bit inconsistent, but when its on, its on!

From a bottle, poured in a mason jar. Good color, thin head that lingers. Dry crisp taste. Abive average IPA

Excellent IPA and a good use of citra. Nose starts very citrusy, with orange, grapefruit and lime notes, and then settles into tropical fruit mango and pineapple. Flavor has some light honeyed malts but is mostly dry, with a twangy resiny bitterness of citrus rind, and then a really long big bitterness at the finish. Clear gold, white foam.

On tap at Cincinnati Winter Beer Fest (CWBF) 2013. Clear golden color. Good big white head, leaves great lace. Great citrusy nose. Thick lace. Moderate bitter taste, lightly zesty. Good orange peel, grapefruit aroma. Explosively citrusy, west-coast, and assertive. Somehow manages to stand out, even amongst the many IPAs Ive had tonight. Awesome, bitter, assertive, delicious

Really nice IPA, well-balanced and delicious. The beer poured a bright and clear dark yellow color. The head was a bit off-white and left some nice lacing around the glass. The nose was bright and crisp, featuring a lot of spicy and dry hops, with some floral and yeasty notes. The body was really well-balanced, delicious and extremely easy-drinking. The pint was gone before I knew it! The flavors were crisp, spicy and dry, with plenty of hops, just enough malt for balance and some pine and grapefruit notes. The beer finished spicy and dry.

Smells like citrus and hopps. And guess what, it tastes that way as well. Really bitter finish balances out the flavor. This one is smooth. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

UPDATED: MAR 21, 2014 Pours a clear light amber with a massive head and lacing that retains very well. The nose is a blend of tropical citrus notes and grapefruit over a toasted malt background sweetness. Almost medium bodied with a slick texture approaching creamy. Slightly above average carbonation level with a bit of effervescence on the finish. The flavor profile is a well balanced blend of citra hop flavor and bitterness over an underlying toasted malt sweetness. It begins with the citrus flavors, progresses to a citrus and grapefruit rind bitterness that is mellowed by a toasted sweetness. Quite nice. Nice smooth finish that leads as slightly sweet then flows into a nice citrus bitterness that lingers just the right amount along with a bit of tartness. This dog can hunt.

Bottle. Nose immediately thrusts heavy pine and heavier rind, tropical with less citrus. Pour is a clear rich golden with a lacing, rocky bright white head. Taste medium bitter with light sweetness that dries out, lemon and lots of tropical (mango, passionfruit, heavy lychee) with more recent cherimoya overtones, bready toward the end after passing through lemony-chalky coating and above-average maltiness for style (sunny, just a touch of Pils- or similar graininess). Full body but not fat, great chalky-rindy coating even into the aftertaste, light zesty tartness without any hint acid or alcohol, clean and refreshing and structured. Might be my favorite of the Citra-bombs released in recent years. [2016.07.29: 4.1]
