3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Sample at the 2012 Cincinnati Brew-haha, from a firkin (cask). Clear, dark brown color. Nice light tan carbonation. Good lace. Great, Turkish-coffee nose, but it’s not as strong as it was in the Epic Bad Baptist (at the same event). Very light carbonation, crisp and easy to drink. Coffee bitterness, a little sweet. Delicious, and easier to drink.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Sample from a cask at the Columbus Winter Beerfest on 01/14/2012: The beer is a dark brown color with a minimal off-white head that disappears quickly. Spotty lacing. Aroma of black coffee and malt. Medium body with a roasty coffee character and notes of dark malt in the background. The beer finishes like a cold cup of coffee. Not very complex but as someone who enjoys coffee I like it.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Cask sample at the Cleveland International Beer Fest on 5/14/11. Pours a clear dark brown with a thin tan head. Aroma of coffee, coffee and coffee. Flavor of coffee, coffee and coffee. Don’t get me wrong, I love coffee beers. Just coulda used a bit more complexity on this one. Tastes like carbonated cold coffee.
