Beautiful espresso notes with a creamy butteriness that is taken from the French Oak. Lovely hints of vanilla and carmel that linger at the finish.Very mellow and balanced in its flavor profile.
Sampled at GABF 2015. In the tasting glass was near black with a tan head. Nose of chocolate malts and coffee. Medium body. Flavor is chocolate, coffee, oak and citrus. Finishes bitter. Decent. jcartamdg (3445) - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - AUG 29, 2012
pours dark black with a thick mocha head. Aroma of coffee, chocolate, oak and vanilla. Oak is up fron on taste but not overpowering, chocolate and roast still present but it does taste a bit lighter than the other variants markwise (5441) - North of Tampa, Florida, USA - MAR 29, 2012
Growler from Greenville Beer Exchange. Cheers, gents! Pours a typical imperial stout brown/ black with a tan head. Nose is roast, caramel, slight chocolate, and some vinous/ dark fruit character. Flavor is similar combined with mild wood/ vanilla- lots of vinous dark fruit with chocolate and wood. Medium, lighter than BA or regular Siberian, and very nice overall.
