Dayton draft. Color was dark amber with medium white head. Aroma was hoppy and complex. Flavor was good balance of hops and malty with a good balnced finish. Tasted a little more complex than a standard american pale ale. argo0 (14127) - Washington DC, USA - JAN 24, 2005
(Dayton) Lightly hazed amber body with white head. Aroma is medium sweet, biscuit, floral, nutty, light grapefruit. Taste is medium sweet, biscuit, floral, nutty, some chocolate, light grapefruit. Light-medium body. Dogbrick (13520) - Columbus, Ohio, USA - MAY 21, 2002
Lasting hops flavor and good malt balance. Definitely different than the typical APA in the ratio of malt in the mix. Worth another try. thedm (6306) - Fort Wayne, Indiana, USA - DEC 26, 2005
This draft brew from the brewery poured a large sized head of foamy finely sized mostly lasting unnoted colored bubbles that left behind an unnoted lacing. The body contained no carbonation, was transparent and yellow brown in color. Its aroma contained notes of mild malts hops and caramel. Its mouth feel is tingly with a lingering slightly tingly palate and a smooth aftertaste. Its flavor contained malty hoppy flavors favoring the hops with a mild brown beer and caramel malty note. hotstuff (5232) - Fort Wayne, Indiana, USA - JAN 23, 2005
Rated at TDBC. Small off-white head that mostly diminished, fine-small sized bubbles, good lacing, transparent, uncarbonated, and a yellow hue. Aroma was malty, hoppy and spicy. The flavor was sweet, malty, little caramel, and hoppy. Hoppy palate. Light body.

Out of the tap at the Dayton brewpub. Golden copper color with a tight, white head. White sugar sweetness with a little spicey hop finish. Clean finish but not much body. A little simplistic. pivo (2685) - GERMANY - APR 29, 2004
ON TAP: Fairly dark color for an APA. Came with no head by the time it arrived at my table. Apricot finish. Little bitter. Fairly decent balance, but nothing special. Just OK. Drew (2411) - Kent, Ohio, USA - SEP 22, 2002
My friend Chris has owned nothing but Golden Retrievers for the past 15 years, but he's no fan of this one - it may have been inbred and most likely needs it's hips replaced. It could be a faithful companion, but the aftertaste is what offended me. The body was medium, malty and an ok hops level, not much aroma. brentfeesh (1208) - Mansfield, Ohio, USA - DEC 13, 2004
Had this at the Thristy Dog on the Beer Engine. Poured a hazy orange with minimal head. I was surprised to discover that my beer had little to no aroma. Beer had very little carbonation and a lite mouth feel. The flavor was flowery and citrus with sweet malt and orange. Finished lite and bitter with a good aftertaste. Not to shabby... blank (996) - Austin, Texas, USA - APR 5, 2003
this almost a textbook apa. Nice mix of malt and hops. Good color and head. One of the beers that i'd recommend.
