Mild, slightly sweet bready aroma. Pours a clear light amber, with a small white head. Light malt flavor, with almost no hops noticeable. Light on the palate, and easy drinking on a humid summer day. This would be a nice beer to expose non-craft drinkers to.

Aroma of low/moderate noble hops, somewhat sweet, bready malts. Color is copper with foamy head. Flavor is mostly bread up front, not cloyingly sweet, the finish is a little drier with some bitterness; maybe a little alcohol at the very end. Palate is soft, foamy and bubbly. A well crafted lager, and if the ratings below mine are an indicator, perhaps an improved beer.

12oz bottle. 6%, sort of on the high side for a lager, right? Clear light orange color, minimal head that fades to nothing, some bubbles on the side of the glass. Particles floating in the body. Moderate, pronounced but smooth carbonation, more dry finish. Boring lagery taste, a little skunky... Pretty disappointing, isnt obviously high-quality like Great Lakes and Stoudts Dortmunders are. Light savory, sort of a salty bite, intrusive light bitterness. Not a good lager, not easy to drink

Light on the bitterness with sweet malts. Yellow bodied Helles could be relabeled a Michelob and I wouldnt no the difference. Decent brew, just no pizazz.

wxman (1793) - OFallon, Illinois, USA - JUN 30, 2012
Pours a slightly hazy deep golden with a marginal white head that diminishes, but continues to coat the surface. Almost no aroma, perhaps a little bread dough. Taste is sweet toasted malt along with notes of caramel. This is pretty decent, but is more on the order of a Marzen rather than a Dort.

Smells great, with a wonderful apperarence. Has a fantastic hoppy flover. But not too overbearing.

Stronger than expected aroma with a golden brown appearance, balanced taste and comfortable mouthfeel. Easy drinking beer! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle. Light bready malt aroma. Golden with a small off-white head. Flavor much like aroma, bready malt and light bitter finish. Medium body and carbonation. Easy drinking.

Bottle. Lemon and corny barley malt aroma. Clear golden yellow color with moderate head. Mildly sweet barley malt and lightly bitter herbal hops flavor. Not bad - a decent Dortmunder.

12 ounce bottle. Served in a pint glass, the beer pours a clear gold color with about a half inch off-white head that stayed around a little while. Theres a small amount of lacing. The brew smells like bready and sweet malt, and some light grassy hops. It tastes like bready and sweet malt. Mouthfeel/body is light/medium, its a bit creamy with a moderate amount of carbonation. It goes down easy enough. This certainly isnt one of the better Dortmunder Lagers Ive had. Its not a bad beer by any means, but theres nothing about this that would make me want to buy it again.
