Bottle pours golden with a thin white head. Aromas are sweet and grainy, not much else. Taste is not as sweet as I was expecting, there is a decent hoppiness the provides just a little spice. Overall, not the best beer, but not bad for a lager. AmEricanbrew (6878) - Same Trailer, Different Park, Louisiana, USA - NOV 2, 2011
Clear golden color/ no head. Soapy, sweet white bread aromas. medium body. Spicy, grainy white bread flavors with cardboard to finish-- SSSteve (4006) - - OCT 30, 2011
bottle from mix pack. hazy gold with small, fluff, white head. pineapple and copper coins aroma. not really getting the distinct bready maltiness associated with this style. this one is more fruity with pineapple notes and estery yeast. weird red apple finish. didn’t get this one. kramer (6682) - Sunbury, Pennsylvania, USA - SEP 17, 2011
Bottle. Pours a clear dark gold body with a nice one inch frothy white head that had pretty nice retention. The nose is bready malt with just a light floral hoppiness. Rather subdued and gentle. The flavor is pretty decent, bready malt, fairly dry, with a minimal bitterness. Lighter bodied with fizzy carbonation. Pretty decent, but I had this about an hour after drinking three Great Lakes Dortmunder Gold on tap, an this just doesn’t hold a candle to that. steelhead3686 (270) - Jacksonville, North Carolina, USA - AUG 25, 2011
Pours a golden brown with a medium white head. Smells rather hoppy for a lager with a hint of citrus but with a hint of malt. Somewhat bitter taste but very enjoyable even taste. Light body with somewhat creamy texture and somewhat lively. A good lager. Almost on par with Dortmunder Gold in my book.

All these random lager styles that all taste the same seem redundant to me. This "Dortmunder/Helles" was decent like always for light lagers. Drinkable refreshing and a little sweet. Same shit different day. Ernesto987 (6050) - Arizona, USA - AUG 12, 2011
Another sweet very drinkable light malt profile no hop lager. Nothing to it but nothing offensive and more alcohol than usual which is a plus. Dogbrick (12912) - Columbus, Ohio, USA - JUL 24, 2011
Sample at the Ohio University Inn & Conference Center during the Thirsty Dog /Cheese/Chocolate Tasting as part of Ohio Brew Week. Surprised I hadn’t actually had this before. The beer is a clear golden color with a thin white head that bubbles away to an outer ring. Short strings of lacing. Aroma of grainy malt and hops. Light body with flavors of grassy hops, sweet bready malt and a touch of fruit. The finish is crisp and mildly hoppy, and has a fruity aftertaste. Pretty average overall, but did go well with the cheese. LiteWait (266) - New Hampshire, USA - JUL 13, 2011
12 oz bottle purchased from Nikki’s Licquors in Providence RI. Color is a caramel brown, almost see thru. Lots of carbonation bubbles. Thick off white bubbly head. Nose of caramel and malt. Creamy mouthfeel, with caramel, yeast and hops from front to roasted malt in the finish. Very smooth with no bitterness. I was very impressed with this brew. Very easy to drink. 12 oz bottle, purchased @ Nikki’s Liquors in Providence, RI. Hazy amber color. ¼ inch white head. Very good lace down the glass. Highly carbonated. Nose of caramel malt and biscuits. Nice flavor of malt, bread and a light hop finish. Smooth and easy to drink. Could knock back a bunch of these brews. Refreshing. Would drink this again.
