Contacted Thirsty Dog directly and was told that there were only 500 cases of this stuff. Poured into a Sam Adams new pint glass. I figured it would compliment this great lager. Pours a golden brown with very limited head that dissipates quick thin lacing that hangs for a sec. Tastes is of strong malt with limited hop bite, very crisp as it fades quick, but very refreshing, a hot day summer brew for sure. It’s a shame the batch was one off because this would be a solid summer beer for me to drink anytime. Great lager Thirsty Dog!
Hazy golden with an average sized white head. Aroma is of wheat chex and grain. Taste is watery with some sweet malt. mcnealc31 (255) - Elida, Ohio, USA - SEP 5, 2011
To be perfectly honest, if I didn’t know it was a lager, I’d think it’s an ale. It’s a cloudy gold color, similar to a hefeweizen. Nice head, very good lacing, and a little bit of bitterness. It almost tastes like a milder version of Great Lakes’ Grassroots Ale. It’s got that kind of muddled herby citrusy taste to it. A very dry finish, too.
It’s good, but not great. Honestly, the novelty is the most appealing feature. Tmoney99 (14365) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - JAN 22, 2010
Bottle shared by alexsdad06. Poured a clear golden color with an average frothy white head that mostly lasted and had fair lacing. Moderate malt, grass hop and grain aroma. Medium body with a smooth texture and soft carbonation. Medium grassy hop sweet flavor with a medium sweet dry finish of moderate duration. This beer met my expectations.

12 oz. bottle. Pours a clear golden color with lively bubbles and a medium creamy white head. The aroma is grainy, biscuity malts, grassy hops, with a decent level of fruitiness. The flavor is biscuity malt, an overall fruitiness, citrus, mildly tart, with a dry finish. Medium bodied. thirdeye11 (6160) - Dallas, Texas, USA - JAN 17, 2010

(12oz bottle, courtesy of BMan1113VR) Pours a clear yellow body with a small white head. Aroma of citrus, biscuit, and grass. Flavor of lemon, grass, and biscuit. MrBunn (2807) - The Wet Side of a Dry Town, Pennsylvania, USA - NOV 10, 2009
Bottle. Body is a little bit of an orangish gold with a thin head. Aromas of corn, skunky hops a bit of soap... not very nice smelling stuff. Flavor makes me wonder if something has gone terribly wrong on the bottling line. Gak! Off-putting tartness with vegetable junk and metal. I’ll try this again down the road, but it is inconceivable that this has gone bad in the short time that it has been out. Shame... oh, shame... angrypirate06 (1388) - Texas, USA - NOV 4, 2009
