A robust porter, dark brown in color and full-bodied with a malty sweet taste. Deep roasted, yet silky-smooth! Two types of roasted malts, including deep-roasted chocolate malt are used to give this porter a rich, chocolately taste.

Bottle @ Ulfborg Weekend, Jan 2011. Pours black with an off white head. Sweet cold coffee bean nose. Dry and roasted flavor with notes of dark fruit and chocolate. Smooth palate. Dry end.

Bottle, 5.7%. Fruity aroma with a hint of liquorice. Black colour, oily-looking. No head. Good and flavourful, slightly sweet, papery, creamy and roasted. Soft mouthfeel and pleasant carbonation. Slightly smoked aftertaste.

Bottle from Half Time. Pours very dark brown with a foamy 4 finger tan head. Aroma is very chocolate. Med body/frothy carbonation. Flavor is dark roast malt with smooth darker than milk chocolate. Finishes lightly bitter.And chocolate.

Dayton Draft. Dark brown in color with medium tan head. Aroma was roasted malt with sweet tone. Flavor was normal chocolate with medium finish that was not bitter. Good porter brew.

A deep dark brown porter with a super thick frothy brown head. In aroma, a nice mix of Brett and bitter chocolate, alcohol burn, nice. In mouth, a nice sweet peaty chocolate with dark fruits, a bit lighter than expected, but still nice. Shared with GRM.

12 ounce bottle from Beer Run in Charlottesville, VA. Pours a medium brown color with a medium head. Big chocolate and some roasted malts in the aroma. Taste is very similar... milk chocolate with some coffee and roasted malts. Medium bodied.

GABF ’07. Pours dark brown with an average, frothy, light brown head, lasting with good lacing. Aroma is heavy malt (cookie, caramel, toasted chocolate), light hops (herbs), average yeast (leather, meat, earth) with notes of cola and cardboard. Medium bodied, sticky texture, average carbonation, and a chalky finish. Average duration, moderate sweetness, light acidity and bitterness.
