A robust porter, dark brown in color and full-bodied with a malty sweet taste. Deep roasted, yet silky-smooth! Two types of roasted malts, including deep-roasted chocolate malt are used to give this porter a rich, chocolately taste.

12 oz bottle. Dank. Pours nearly jet black with a dense, creamy, crater liketan head. Loose webby lacing coming down the glass. Dark coffee and earth nose. Creamy medium body with soft carb. Coffee, earth, and roast on the mid-palate. Not thick. A nice porter to offer to the girls.

From Aug 2007 Yet another sample I got in trade with Wasatch. Thanks, John! It pours from the 12oz bottle a very dark brown with some reddish hues and a tiny head of foam that dissipated quickly. There's just some spotting and a little bit of lacing. The smell has a nice roasted and caramel malt nose to it. The taste starts off with a good chocolate malt flavour and it's pretty sweet but then the roasted malt moves in and cuts down on the sweetness a bit and that improves the taste and drinkability for me. I pulled this straight out of the fridge, not my usual modus operendi, so I'm going to take small sips and see what happens when it gets closer to room temp. It's now warmed up some and nothing's really changed. I'd have to say that this is a pretty good sample of the style, not overly complex yet a solid interpretation and I'd gladly drink it again if I was offered one.

Light, sweet chocolate coffee aroma, pours dark brown, medium mouthfeel, bitter malts on the back of your throat, mild toffee sweetness throughout, more like a health bar followed with some coffee. bottle.

A solid porter. Faint aromas of dark chocolate. Flavors of water coffee, some mild dark chocolate, earth, and woody notes. Earthy, dry finish is semi-sweet. Oily mouth feel. Enjoyable.

From the 12 fl. oz. bottle. Brown, moderately heady pour with reddish hues. The aroma has a kind of cherry fruitiness at first along with the roasted sweet malts and a low hop profile. The body is light to medium and smooth. The taste also has a sweet cherry-like character with a slightly fruity short lasting bitterness to end.
