Great aroma. This one I’m tasting with Southern Tier Raspberry wheat which isn’t great so relative comparison worth noting. Kind of has a mouth full of fluff flavor that isn’t so good--too carbonated.

on draft. This was a very light yellow beer with a big head. The aroma was pretty good with a big nose of sweet fruit, but then the flavor was really disappointing. It was syrupy sweet, and tasted like caramel corn. the mouthfeel was watery and thin.

Pours a golden yellow with a huge white head and lots of carbonation. Aroma is fresh raspberries, very nice, and a nice malt background. Nice raspberry flavor, not cloying or mediciney. A little tart and a nice mouthfeel. A little creamy but finishes fairly crisp with a soft after taste of raspberry. Really good fruit beer.

Suttree (6484) - Knoxville, Tennessee, USA - APR 20, 2009
Pinkish red. Smells like a raspberry Pop-Tart. Seems to do a pretty good job of avoiding too much cloying sweetness - it seems rather light, actually. Dryish finish. Not bad at all.

Pours dark gold with off white head. Strong raspberry (duh). Strong, sweet raspberry flavor with a carbonic bite. Slight creaminess eases into tart finish. Good for what it is but probably won’t revisit anytime soon

Aroma sweet raspberries and tastes slightly metallic and sweet. raspberries noticable with other berries. A bit thin.

That1Guy (2237) - Colorado, USA - APR 9, 2009
Crushed with Jakebra. Nose and flavor dominated by raspberries, but not enough. Very thin bodied. Pleasant, but compared to the NG mad man, this one is very lacking.

3.5
Butters (4063) - Richmond, Virginia, USA - APR 5, 2009
Sampled at the Impromptu Butter’s 5th cellar clearance. Near clear gold pour with fair white head. Nose is massive sweet raspberry much like a lindeman’s framboise. Flavor has a tartness and fake raspberry flavor. Raspberries and cream. A little carbonic bite, but not overpowering. Enjoyable example of a fruit beer.

Barrios (1243) - Nashville, Tennessee, USA - APR 4, 2009
Pours an off-white head with a dark golden body that is full of particulates, both white and dark (rasp pieces). Smells like raspberry with a hint of bread. Tastes like raspberry yogurt. Smooth, mellow, and a good fading raspberry finish.

12 oz bottle. Pours hazy gold with a very abundant soapy white head. Smells of sweet rasberry and malt. Tastes of rasberries and smooth malt. Very slight grainyness. Sweet and slightly dry finish. One of the better berry beers I’ve tried yet. Pretty nice.
