A traditionally made English IPA. Complex caramel and toasted malt flavors blended with assertive, bitter hops and character from seven generous additions of the famous Kent Goldings hops. Dry hopped & served unfiltered for the true English flavor.

This draft brew from the brewery poured a large sized head of foamy finely sized long lasting off-white colored bubbles that left behind an excellent lacing. The body contained average carbonation, was transparent and light yello brown in color. Its aroma contained notes of mild hops. Its mouth feel is initially smooth asnd was very smooth for an IPA but came on strong in the finish Its flavor contained caramel hoppy notes. A very average brew.

IThere is something about the flavor of their beers that I just don’t like. that being said I feel as though this is the best of a buch of mediocre brews. It has decent flavor with mild hoppiness and a slightly dry finish. Overall-OK.

Dayton draft. Aroma was hoppy in style with IPA with a sweet tone. Flavor was complex hops, malt and a medium sweet finish. Medium in body and was a very pleasing brew.

On tap at Dayton location. Piney, fruity, and grassy hop aroma. Very hazy orange-amber color, off-white head. Nice hop flavor, piney and citrusy, moderately fruity, caramel malt comes through, solid bitterness. Medium-full body, smooth. Not a bad IPA.

(Dayton) Hazy amber body with off-white head, nice lacing. Aroma is moderately sweet, floral, caramel. Taste is moderately sweet, floral, chocolate, caramel. Watery light-medium body. For some reason, the body and taste seem at odds with one another.

Rated at TDBC. Medium sized ivory head that mostly diminished, fine-medium sized bubbles, good lacing, uncarbonated, and cloudy. Malty, hoppy, sweet aroma. The flavor was sweet, caramel, malty and hoppy. Tingly, hoppy mouthfeel. Light body.

Underrated - a classic English fruitiness (Fuggle?) and toasty malt - of course this is not a regular IPA - an appealing and well-put together, minerally version.

On tap at the Dayton location. So this is an IPA, and Hoppus Maximus is an English Pale Ale? Something seems screwy. In any event, this beer lacked character IMO. Looked just like Hoppus Maximus in the glass, with a clear copper body and a medium light tan head. In contrast to Hoppus, the aroma here is subtle, with earthy hops and caramel. The flavor is actually malt-dominated, with classic Thirsty Dog caramels and light fruit interplaying with the rather subdued English hops, which left an earthy, slightly bitter aftertaste. Although quaffable this is not a very distinctive brew.

Stinging hoppiness in the middle of the taste profile from an odd blend of hops. No wonder the hop aroma comes out in the nose. Not a good IPA at all - just not convincing.

Not much of an aroma. Tasted more like a Pale Ale to me. The bitterness was light even for an English IPA. Some acidy on the finish
