12 oz bottle. Poured a orange, light brown color with modest head. Aroma was sweet with the hint of scotch flavors and malt. I was kind of disappointed with the actually taste. I found it too sweet and malty for my tastes. A little roasted barley. Not my favorite scotch ale. PGHbeer77 (571) - Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA - JAN 1, 2013
12 oz. Bottle. A so-so brew. Brown toffee scent with some hoppy bitterness. Huge bubbly explosion of a pour, bronze color. Way too bubbly feel. Brown, toffee flavor to bitter. sodakotakid (230) - Belle Fourche, South Dakota, USA - DEC 8, 2012
pours a brownish orange with a good beige head. This beer tastes earty, bready lightly of toasted carmel malt , mine had a lot of chunks in it. 17thfloor (2443) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - NOV 18, 2012
Bottle. Caramlization is nice, but seems to have a bit of an infection, thin, super carbonated, odd. Nephilium (1821) - Cleveland, Ohio, USA - AUG 24, 2012
Mild caramel aroma, pours a hazy reddish amber with far too much carbonation (a gentle pour filled half my glass with head). Mild roasted flavor, with a caramel note. Highly carbonated, almost aggressively so. The beer isn’t bad, just troublesome and difficult to drink. Tone down the carbonation some, and it would be much more enjoyable.

Pretty decent beer. Like the Thirsty Dog beers. Sent a long time ago from galaxy far, far away.

caramel, basement aromas, orange, medium sweetness, very malty, which was not a bad thing, medium body, average carbonation, the second bottle had a little skunk to it. queenholly (3623) - South Whitley, Indiana, USA - JUL 19, 2012
Bottle. Earthy, dusty malt and light yeasty aroma. Murky brown with an uber fizzy, gargantuan ginormous beige head. Quite a bit of yeast sediment not an appealing looking beer at all. Caramel malt, toast, and a light grassy bitter flavor. Light, highly carbonated body with a dry finish. Felt very tingly on the tongue. While it didn’t taste bad, it definitely was not like any of the scotch ales I’ve ever tried Sheerbrewing (117) - Athens-Columbus, Ohio, USA - JUL 12, 2012

A good anytime beer that has a basic barley flavor. I had it with nachos and it was fine.
