COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our hefe is made with 50% wheat malt and only pure German wheat yeast. This yeast which shows in the cloudiness in the beer also creates the delightful clove vanilla and banana aromas. Truly a unique beer, taste Bavaria through Thirsty Dog today. IBU=10, OG=12P, 5.2%ABV

Draft at Moe’s Restaurant in Cuyahoga Falls, OH. American pint shaker. Cloudy orange-amber pour with thick head. Aroma of light fruits and bread/biscuit. Fairly yeasty smelling. Taste was not terribly balanced. Fruity with some spices on the back end. Not very complex. Below average wheat beer. Light body, medium carb.

Bottle from Save On. Nice cloudy caramel color with vnice lasting head and lace. Clove and bananas in aroma. Taste is first nothing/water, then tangy fruity unripe peach, then something like fake maple syrup and cinnamon. Something went wrong in the finish. It’s unpleasant. Nice light palate. Not too good.

This is fine really. There’s the gloves in the aroma and the banana esters, but the flavor is a little muddied.

Bottle. Pours a hazy amber color with a smallish white head. Nose is quite yeasty with just a hint of citrus and an awful lot of spices in there. Taste is just a tad thick with the spices really coming through. OK.

Hazy honey color with a initially large head that goes away way to quick and ends up as lacing, sad. Aroma of the standard wheat/ bread/yeast with hints of fruity esters but those seem more of an accident than planned. Lacks most or all of the characteristics of a hefe that I look for, seemed more like a bubbly American wheat than anything else, disappointing.

Golden color out of the bottle with a thin disappearing head. Thin grainy nose. Subtle hints of spice and banana but mostly sweet and grainy. Some lemon in the finish. Not a good German hefe.

On tap pours a medium amber with a thick creamy head. Aroma is clean malt and some yeast and wheat. The flavor is not bad there is some nutty roasty thing going on nice balance of pale and wheat. Overall not a bad beer drinkable.

A great designed bottle with a Whippet running through a wheat field and that’s exactly what this is a great wheat beer with a bold labor for any avid beer drinking.

Bottle. Poured hazy copper color with an average frothy white head that mostly lasted with fair lacing. Moderate citrus hefe aroma. Medium body with a smooth texture and lively carbonation. Medium sweet flavor with a medium sweet finish of moderate duration. I was disappointed that this did not taste better.
