COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our hefe is made with 50% wheat malt and only pure German wheat yeast. This yeast which shows in the cloudiness in the beer also creates the delightful clove vanilla and banana aromas. Truly a unique beer, taste Bavaria through Thirsty Dog today. IBU=10, OG=12P, 5.2%ABV

Hazy, golden bodied Hefe poured a fluffy white head that vanished quickly. Banana, vanilla wheat flavors are all in this light bodied beer. I perceive Thirsty Dog of a brewer of stronger beers, Whippet Wheat is quite the opposite.

Nearly clear yellow-orange with a long-lasting head and light lacing. The taste begins with a nice wheat malt, but is undercut in the middle and finish because the flavor fades and takes on a watery aspect. The finish is barely bittered. Not a keeper.

Large head that lasted for more than a minute. Off orange color, little aroma. Wondeful wheat and orange taste on the palate

Hazy golden colored with a whitish head. Aroma is slightly fruity. Bold flavor with yeast, citrus, spice, and banana.

One of the best hefeweizen beers I’ve ever had smooth, I can taste a hint of orange and even vanilla. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle. Pours yellow-orange with a whitish head. VERY malty wheat aroma. Taste is yeast and malt with a watery-malt finish. Different flavors of malts include citrus, banana, and wheat. Overall not bad for this style of beer.

Bottle. Pours a dark orange/yellow color with a disappearing thin white head. Tastes of a bit of citrus, clove not really much going on here. Not one of my favorites but a decent session beer nonetheless.

Bottle pours dark gold with minimal white head. Faint aromas that are slightly metallic. Taste is spicy with clove notes, but light on the citrus, which you hope would be there in this style. Overall, an average, boring, beer. Not bad, just not interesting.

12 ounce bottle from Belmont Party Supply. Pours an amber color with a very slight haze. Very slight. Thin head fades instantly. Aroma of caramel and faint fruits. The taste is wheat, caramel and a faint hop finish. Some apple-like fruits. Medium bodied. Pretty boring.

Light on aroma, light on carbonation (not a bad thing) light on flavour. I might have gotten a bad bottle, unfortuantely, in the hefeweizen category, this did not do it for me.
