Refrigerated bottle poured into a refrigerated weizen glass. Pours a cloudy golden with small white head that dissapates quickly. Some lacing and good carbonation. Aroma is clove and wheat. Taste is clove and wheat, some sourness. There are much better hefes out there. davidajensen (206) - Nashville, Tennessee, USA - AUG 10, 2010
At first taste i was impressed with the unique mouthfeel of this hefe. It is just a little syrupy and and soft. There is a nice flavor of vanilla and citrus. The only downside with this hefe is that the syrupy taste that it leave behind cuts down on the refreshment factor. I like my hefes to be a little more crisp and refreshing. You might describe this as a good "rainy day hefe". I’ll drink this beer again. durhambeer (2585) - Durham, North Carolina, USA - AUG 4, 2010
Bottle from Sam’s in Durham. Slightly hazy golden pour with smallish white head given the style. Grainy wheat dominates... mild yeast, but not a lot of the more interesting banana/fruit/bubblegum/clove tastes that make the style worthwhile. Meh. dp (608) - uniontown, Ohio, USA - JUL 25, 2010
forgot how go0d a wheat could be. draft. fairly warm, typical wheat, hard to finish quickly, but after I did, wanted another blklab2007 (2120) - Connecticut, USA - JUL 15, 2010
bottle poured a light golden in color with a thin coating of white head. aroma has banana yeast, wheat, pale malt, and light citrus that might be there because I want it to be. mouth feel is light with a little sugar on the tongue. flavor has a nice yeasty profile, light malts, wheat, and mild hops. the banana yeast is the highlight here as the base beer is just alright.

This draft brew from a beer bar poured a small sized head of foamy yellow brown colored bubbles that were quickly diminishing and left behind a no visible carbonation slightly hazy orange colored body and a poor lacing. The mild aroma was dough. The mouth feel was weakly tingly at the start and at the finish. The flavor contained notes of mild citrus dough and hops. A decent one but not one that I would consider drinking again. udflyerfan07 (173) - Dayton, Ohio, USA - JUL 2, 2010
12oz bottle. Poured a golden hazy color. Not a ton of aroma. I actually enjoyed this refreshing beer though while grilling out in the summer heat. Good flavor. Went down smooth. More along the lines of a hefe imo. hotstuff (5302) - Fort Wayne, Indiana, USA - JUN 23, 2010
Draft at Heorot, Muncie, IN. Poured a small off-white head that mostly diminished, no visible carbonation, cloudy body, no lacing, and a straw hue. The aroma was malty, wheat notes and hint of coriander. The flavor mimicked the aroma and had a short semi-dry finish. The mouthfeel was lightly tingly and this is a medium bodied beer. For the style, it lacks character, aroma, flavor, and it was a disappointing beer overall. Tmoney99 (15322) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - JUN 20, 2010
Draft. Poured hazy copper color with an average frothy white head that mostly lasted with fair lacing. Moderate citrus hefe aroma. Medium body with a smooth texture and lively carbonation. Medium sweet flavor with a medium sweet finish of moderate duration. Very drinkable beer.

Bought a six pack of this at Whole Foods in Columbus for $9.99. I had a lot of hope for it because Thirsty Dog makes some pretty good brew - Old Leghumper and Lab Lager - being two of them. This beer was pretty bland and does not compare to the better hefe’s out there. It’s drinkable, but a lower qualtiy hefe for sure.
