Bucket Head IPA is an aggressively hopped India Pale Ale. We believe that you should go big or go home. Therefore, we add Cascade, Centennial and Mt. Hood hops buckets at a time to make the biggest of our beers. This copper colored beer will start with a hint of sweetness, immediately followed with a punch in the mouth of bitterness.

Tap at saxon pub in Austin with commonmac. Pint glass. Copper with very little head. Small nose, probably because of the lack of head. Small amount of Malt sweetness and grain up front, then strong resin hops. Not super crisp. Finish stays with you.

Tap in a pint glass at Saxon Pub while listening to Denny Freeman with commonshawn. Light copper with minimal head. Aroma is all hops and taste follows suit. Cloying mouthfeel that grabs ahold and doesnt let go. Feels like they just went all in on the hop IPA without a ton of balance. Citrus rind and grapefruit are present. Some sugar sweetness is there at the end. Kind of a standard drop in the bucket IPA but its not terrible.

Clear amber with small but nicely lacing white head. Nose is diminished floral hops notes and soap. Bitter punch, rather watery mouthfeel for how high gravity it is. Sweet in the middle. Peanuts? I do like the long, bitter finish. Overall meh

Pretty dark and malty for an ipa. Piney. Not very bitter. Thin lacing. Flight at Bangers.

Draft at the source. Clear deep golden amber color, medium white head. Aroma of grapefruit, light pineapple. Taste is fruity and juicy. Tasty and refreshing.

Pint on tap. Clear copper beer, darker than i expected, with a stable off-white head and good adhesion. Light aroma, kind of grassy/herbal, not too much citrus, lots of grapefruit, bitter, long aftertaste. Middle-of the road as far as IPAs go.

Light gold pour, small off-white head. Nose is grapefruit. Middle is medium roasted malt sweetness. Finish is pleasant medium hop bitterness that hangs around awhile. Went great with Salvadoran sampler of chicken tamales, pupusas, fried yuca, fried plantain and gallo pinto. Yum.

On tap at hopdoddys. Pour is dark amber, almost brown with big fluffy tan head. Aroma is hoppy and so is taste, but not overly so and maltiness is evident. Smooth and drinkable without a long, bitter aftertaste. Not your typical IPA, more reminiscent of other pale-ale varieties. But a very enjoyable beer.
