Average amber. Mild aromas and flavors of woody malt. Earthy and grainy tones with a low hop profile. Easy to drink.

Worst "amber" I have ever had. Mostly because.... It's NOT an amber. It fails in pretty much every category an amber should excel.

It's really sad, because when I'd first tried it, I wanted to like it. But, it doesn't LOOK like an amber, it doesn't TASTE like an amber. It doesn't walk that fine line between malt and hop like an amber should. Even the bouquet fall flat.

While it doesn't stand out in any particular area, the introduction isn't horrible. The body is lackluster, and the finish tastes like a wet soapy sock.

If there were a worst of category, this beer would be the poster child of how NOT to make an amber.

Pours a clear amber, but white head, unstable. Aroma of light citrus and nuts. Medium bodied and carb. Some caramel, candy... Not bad, no real hook though.

Hmm, similar notes to Real Ale Pinsetter, which I had like a week later. Should try them side-by-side so I can differentiate. Caramel sweetness, light bitterness, a little nutty.
