33cl bb04/2018 tasting side-by-side with the aged original during Freiburg Deluge Tasting Aug2017. - Obviously the PoMo update of the original "extreme luxury beer" for North-Jutland blue collar workers. Flowery nose of rose petals on fresh dark organic ashes and chthonic roots, both charry and fresh: a Noma sort of take on Baltic Porter. Starts off light, whispy like a typical rich Mikkeller hop-infused porter, then takes up the Thisted ash and turns it into an overdrive roast, sharp and ashen. Remains drinkable with enough nuance of liquorice and hop fruit, with Mikkeller’s trademark lush gastronomic mouthfeel. nearbeer (5462) - Knoxville, Tennessee, USA - AUG 18, 2017
33 cl. bottle, bb 10/08/2018. Deep brown-black with a lasting thin disc of foam. Aroma is graham cracker, espresso, fig, dark toffee and a touch of licorice. Tastes of the same mix plus a bit of blackberry and a stronger licorice presence. Some dark chocolate and ash in the finish. Medium bodied with low-medium CO2 and a good balance. tanel025 (157) - ESTONIA - AUG 12, 2017
Brown beer with chocolate-colored head. Aroma is roasted malt, slight dark chocolate. Taste is roasted malt, licorice, slight chocolate. Aftertaste is bitter licorice, dark chocolate. Full body. Light to medium sweet, medium bitterness. Excellent porter, drinkable, mild and not overroasted. Balanced, brilliant brew! Szulo (178) - Płock, POLAND - AUG 11, 2017
Ciemnobrunatna barwa, szybko opadająca beżowa, średniopęcherzykowa piana. Aromat kawowy, śliwki w czekoladzie z alkoholem. Gęste na języku, intensywna kawowo-palona wytrawność w gardle. Aftertaste lekko słodki. Stoned99 (1578) - St-Jean-sur-Richelieu, Quebec, CANADA - JUL 26, 2017
12 ounces bottle at home. Aroma: dark chocolate, coffee, roasted malt, light tobacco. App: black with dark burgundy tint, small beige /brownish head leaving good lacing. Taste and palate: medium body, chocolaty, roasted coffee beans with medium high bitter finish. Overall: good beer. Body could be a big bigger, feels a bit thin. Also a bit too bitter for my tastes but it’s still highly drinkable and enjoyable. Gonna save my other bottle for next winter.

12oz bottle pours out dark brown small tan head. Nose is big roast malts black licorice vanilla smoke. Taste is more of the smoke ash bitter dark chocolate. PhillyBeer2112 (2865) - Oviedo, Florida, USA - JUL 19, 2017
Dark, opaque, medium firm tan head. Nose has a nice combo of roasted malt and coffee. In the first sip, surprised at the big full yet soft mouthfeel, velvety, surely from the oats. Excellent. Flavor is not overpowering, tending dry featuring roasted barley, coffee is barely there. Finish is mildly hoppy, with a detectable herbal hop character that provides a nice contrast to the roastiness. I appreciate the expertise in this: flavorful but not overwhelming, excellent mouthful, fullness but not heavy/coating/cloying, big but not too big. erikaraeb (256) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - JUL 19, 2017
Lots of choco and coffee all around. Creamy, full mouthfeel. Decently sweet. A solid porter, but nothing innovative taste-wise. jedrol (93) - Bydgoszcz, POLAND - JUL 19, 2017
Appearance: opaque black, nice beige head
Aroma: dark bread, pralines, chocolate, sweetness, cake and liquor/liqueur notes
Taste: sweet, chocolate like, notes of pralines, slightly alcoholic; alcohol like bitterness (however, not very strong). The taste lingers long in one’s mouth

Negligible smell. Very dark brown colour, high dark brown head. Aroma of coffee, chocolate, roasted malt, hops. Licorice in finish. Bitter. Ashy dry palate. Reminds more of stout than porter, but great nonetheless.
