The bottle looks strange, but good. The beer in the glass really nice, very zippy, nice head. Tastes malty and dry, a little bit like an Imperial Stout. Very drinkable and good beer! Big thanks to yespr for the bottle!

High stiff head. Oaky aroma emphasized with hops and alcohol. Rich in flavor; nuts, dried fruit, floral sweet molasses. Soft feeling. Nice for a meal or on its own.

Maria (10211) - Thisted, DENMARK - APR 8, 2007
UPDATED: MAY 15, 2007 This is the final result of the 24 trial brew series. I tasted this from tap, unfiltered etc. and only after 3 days in the "lagertank", but I got a "go" to rate it from Peter Klemensen. The color is hazy, deep, beautiful dark red amber and the aroma has notes of caramel, candy sugar and load of aroma hops. The mouthfeel is oily. The flavour is smooth, and it has a nice, slightly sweet caramel foundation. It has notes of candy sugar and nice, spicy and floral hops with a nice bite and bitterness. It’s a really nice one!! 1976 I later heard that this batch was dumped, because it was too sweet, but I had the chance to re-taste it at Københavnske Øldage 07. The color is deep mahogany-red and the aroma is hoppy and spicy. The flavour still has sweetness, but it’s more spicy and hoppy and the bitterness is just right. It’s still a really nice beer.
