Anderledes, men forfriskende smag. Øllet er rimeigt bittert og kunne godt bruge lidt mere sødme.

Copenhagen 7/4 2017. 50 cl bottle from Føtex. Solid selction of berries and herbs on the label which have been put into this brew. All ingredients should be from Thy Nationalpark in Jutland. They even exchanged the Hops with Wormwood. Very New Nordic. Pours clear dark reddish amber with small white head. Disappears almost immediately leaving a thin patch of foam drifting around. No lacing. Aroma is quite sweet. Caramel of the sugary kind, hints of berries - might be juniper. Medium carbonation and medium thick palate. Flavor is surprisingly sour bitter. Medium sweetness, followed by more pronounced sour bitterness. Aftertaste is sourish. I like this feature in the Thisted New Nordic Series best - even though I sorely miss my Hops.

Bottle 500ml @ Parent’s place
Pours hazy amber with a small off-white head. Aroma has notes of malt, caramel, some fruitiness and dates. Taste is medium sweet and medium bitter with a long caramel, fruity, grapefruit and bitter finish. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.

Bottle. Amber wih off white head. Caramel, hay and spices in aroma. Caramel sweet at first, then juniper and the bitterness of "Gammel Dansk", which is actually something I’ve enjoyed over the years. Having a hard time to place this...

yngwie (17038) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - OCT 8, 2016
Bottle. A lightly hazy amber colored beer with a small, beige head leaving curtains. The aroma is rather herbal, with bready, caramel malts and a touch of roasted pork meat. It’s medium bodied, rather dry and with a nice carbonation. Caramel malts, harsh and astringent herbal bitterness, herbal, flowery notes and some grass in the flavor. Lasting weird bitter finish with a vague anise touch. Points to Thisted for trying, and there’s something good going on as well, but it’s not a very successful try. Especially the bitterness is too extreme 161008

larsga (7508) - Oslo, NORWAY - JUL 17, 2016
Medium offwhite head. Clear brown body with light carbonation. Fruity caramelly syrupy aroma with ripe apple and spice notes. Interesting, and odd. Sweet, and seemingly acidic, pine needle and earth taste with spicy syrupy reindeer lichen notes. Mid-bodied. Mild, mealy mouthfeel. Bitter earthy winter apple and reindeer lichen aftertaste with caramel and toasted sugar notes. Too bitter, but interesting. On a side note I wish they hadn’t mixed so many different ingredients. I’d much rather taste the malurt (Artemisia) on its own, since that was a traditional Danish ingredient. (0.5l bottle, from Salling, Aarhus.)
