All the good from the Stout: Liqourice flavor and a backbone of smoke. Some fruit and banana notes resemble belgian stouts Enjoyit (3809) - Vadum, DENMARK - OCT 21, 2007
Black of color with a brown head. An aroma of chocolate, liqurice and salt. A flavor of chocolate, liqurice and notes of coffee. Maria (10212) - Thisted, DENMARK - FEB 1, 2007
Bottle This version is a bit too malty and the aroma hops doesn’t seem to fit in the overall impression. I think it has lost charm since May 2005, where I tasted it on draught. It has become a bit ordinary and out of balance. I would like it to be like a smooth cousin to the Limfjords-Porter, but with the same soul. kramer (6990) - Sunbury, Pennsylvania, USA - JAN 31, 2007
12 oz bottle, via Storm. Pours a very dark brown, almost black, colored body under a firm creamy and foamy brown head with great retention. Maybe a little too dark for a Porter? Aroma is a mix of chocolate malt, graininess, and corn. Some coffee, yeast, vegetal notes, light alcohol, a touch of diacetyl, and cola. Flavor has alot of licorice and lighter roast up front fading to some light smoke, a good amount of caramel, and some alcohol on the finish. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with moderate fizzy carbonation and a slightly sticky feeling on the finish. Overall, this was pretty decent, it could almost pass for a Baltic Porter with the caramel notes it had.

It is after I’m entering this rating that I read the commercial description and it makes alot of sense to me now. There were alot of parallels to the Limfjords Porter, especially the noticable caramel. Though it says no smoked malt and i was certainly picking up on some of that towards the finish.
DBF 2005. Jet black, thin off white head and moderate condition. Traces of roasted barley in the subdued nose, becoming more noticable in the mouth where it is joined by some bitter sweet coffee notes and a hint of liquorice emerging in the aftertaste but not sufficient to mask the dominant roasted maltiness

Bottle. Black colour with a light brown head. Aroma is licorice and roasted coffee. Flavour is mostly roasted coffee. yngwie (17540) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - AUG 10, 2006
Bottled. Jet black with a small tan head. Commerical description says that it is brewed without licorice, but who would believe that when smelling and tasting it. It also has lots of coffee, and roasted or burnt malt. Full-bodied, and a dry, bitter finish. (060801) oh6gdx (26487) - Vasa, FINLAND - JUN 3, 2006
Bottled (Thanks TBone_ (and Papsoe)). Black opaque with small brown head, Aroma of roasted and caramellish malts in aroma. Flavour is sweet caramel, roasted malts and alcohol. The roasted malt is the only thing that stays in the afrertaste. Well done brew, though it lacks some of the limfjord porter features.
