COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

Bottle. Pours a deep reddish amber with a beige/khaki head. Good lacing. Sweetish, malty aroma with notes of biscuits, a metallic overtone and a remote grainy alcohol note. A bit cloying cloying. Flavour is malt and sweet liquorice with alcohol in the background. Notes of dark fruits as it warms. Also a bit cloying. Sweet, tart finish with a lingering apple note as well as alcohol. Overall decent, but as mentioned a bit on the cloying side. Also, the alcohol wasnt that well-balanced. 12.06.12.

Bottle, shared by Meilby. It pours a clear, copper colored body under a dense, finger-thick beige head. The aroma has caramel, a pleasant hoppyness, some licorice and a touch of something spiced. Its full-bodied and soft on the palate, with a little warmth sneaking up on you. Caramel, bitterness, some fruity hints and a spiced touch as well, in the flavor. Sweet, caramel finish with some bitterness. A quite pleasant beer, but not my preferred kind of Christmas beer. 120211

MiP (15517) - Snderborg, DENMARK - JAN 29, 2012
Bottle, 7.5%. Fruity aroma, slightly lagery, hint of roasted malts. Clear dark brown colour. Small frothy brown head. Rather more full-flavoured than expected. Roasted at first, with a hint of Belgian ale yeast. The finish is also roasted, but quite sweet compared to the start. Tastes a bit like a clean Belgian (macro) dubbel. Probably a good pairing with Danish christmas food.
