I bought this bottle in a lovely liquor store in Nykobing Mors. This could be your (almost) perfect Baltic Porter. Nowhere else to look at. Pours onyx reddish black, with a firm, stony beige head, aroma of malts and dr y stout, almost sour, like a Murphy's. The flavours are predominantly dry. It is salty and bitter, of course with smoke and a certain astringency, malts coming out later and finally the the aromatic sweetness of the lakrids. Full bodied, with the salt staying long in the palate, this beer is dry, salty and bitter, and it is missing a precious berry character that could change it completely... but I just farking love it.

Shared bottle at Ribe Camping, Denmark. Pours clear dark brown with dense brown head. Aroma of smoke, liquorice, coffee, roasted malt, metal, alcohol. Taste very sweet, but also quite bitter. Medium bodied with some alcoholic warmth.

Bottle. A very interesting porter. Thick and bitter. Only in the aftertaste you get the dry feeling of licorice. Excellent!

Bottle. Color: Black, dense light brown head. Taste: Starting dark roasted malts, espresso, earthy. More bittery then sweet. The more to the finish, the more you taste the lakrids (licorice). Ending with an overwhelming licorice mouthfeel. Not a bad beer, but just a bit too much licorice for me. But hey, it seems that the Danish like lakrids a lot, so I’m glad to have tasted it in Denmark.

Kulsort øl med pænt skum. Duft og meget kraftig smag af lakrids. Næsten for meget. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

At a tasting, thanks, medium creamy beige head, opaque black color, intense smokey ashy aroma, charred flavor with lots of licorice, empathic though not too heavy bitterness, a bit sticky sweetness. nice, mainly in the aroma.

Bottle sample at a tasting, thanks DSG. Deep brown with a big beige head. Aroma of ash, burnt malt and smoke. Extremely sweet, cloying, licorice, caramel, cocoa, low bitterness, a bit medicinal . Medium bodied, syrupy.

Bottle shared at a tasting at Tom L’s place. Thanks martin00sr for this bottle! Black with a nice big tan head. Smokiness, ashtray, roast, coffee, licorice, very sweet, caramel, lingering sticky sweetness. Way too sweet.
