Ungstrup (38384) - Citizen of the universe, DENMARK - AUG 17, 2004
A dark brown beer with a small collapsing head. The aroma is sweet with notes of caramel, licorice, and chocolate. The flavor is very sweet with notes of licorice an a dry roasted finish. A lovely flavor and a great hvidtøl.

joergen (29216) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - OCT 7, 2005
Bottled. Clear brown coloured with a medium sized beige head. Sweet aroma of caramel with notes of dried fruits. Very sweet flavour with notes of caramel and bread. Quite drinkable.

Papsoe (25056) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - AUG 11, 2005
(Bottle 33 cl) Very dark brown with a tall and handsome, brownish head. Sweetish malty with a lightly synthetic edge as if artificial sweeteners has been used, but I seriously doubt that. 071200

yngwie (17234) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - MAY 14, 2006
Bottled. Reddish brown with a beige head. Still. Aroma is roasted, with chocolate and coffee. Sweet flavor with dried fruits and caramel. Sweet, sticky mouthfeel. One of the best hvidøls so far, but still too sweet for me. (060430)

gunnfryd (15275) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - MAY 11, 2006
Bottle. Red brown colour with an off-white head. Roasted chocolate, laqrish and malt aroma. Flavour is roasted prunes with caramel

HenrikSoegaard (14608) - Randers, DENMARK - JUN 5, 2006
Bottle. Creamy off-white good mostly lasting head, Brown colour. Week but nice caramellic aroma. Thin flavor, very watery, and sweet. Not the best hvidtøl around.

madsberg (11776) - Søborg, DENMARK - MAY 10, 2005
Bottled: Amber coloured. Clear. Light brown dense head. Aroma is quite different from other "hvidtøl". Light smoked, sweet and caramelly. Flavour is sweet as all other "hvidtøl", but by far not as cloying as usual. Smoke is there as well, all the way through to the end. Light roasted. Probably the best example of the style IMO.

faroeviking (11217) - Chupando chellas es como ellas, FAROE ISLANDS - NOV 7, 2006
Bottle. Nice red-brownish colour, small short lasting head. Mild sweet, malty, caramel aroma. The flavour is quite sweet with some bitterness and an ok mouthfeel. The aftertaste is short lasting.

Maria (10211) - Thisted, DENMARK - APR 8, 2007
Dark mahogany with a nice, creamy head. the aroma is sweetish with notes of roasted malt. The flavour is sweet, but not cloying, and it has notes of roasted malt, dark caramel and weak hints of licorice. It’s a tasty Hvidtøl. 1997

Hansen (8615) - Assentoft, DENMARK - OCT 3, 2004
Not bad at all. Too sweet, but the smoked malt adds something that goes fine with the sweetness. Dark and with a fine head.
