9 degrees. Pours hazy yellow with a decent slightly off white head consiting of very small, vivacious bubbles with good retention and some lacing. Wonderfully complex aroma of yeast, spices, fruit and bread. In the complex taste, the notes from the aroma continue, but now with bready maltiness, a little cloves and hoppy bitterness also joins in. Mouthfeel as with a good Belgian Saison: Medium body and rather high carbonation with tiny bubbles filling your mouth. Aftertaste long, filling and lingering. A great saison to be enjoyed slowly and astounding value for money.
Copenhagen 8/3 2017. 50 cl bottle from Fakta. Easter Golden label with silhouette of a Chicken. It does not get anymore Easter-like than that. Pours cloudy golden yellow with big white head. Lacing on the side of the glass. Settles as 2 cm thick layer of creamy foam. Aroma is quite sour. Sour citrus, alcohol, sweet touch of vanilla and caramel. Fruity. Medium carbonation and watery palate. Flavor is medium sweet with hints of sugar. Followed by medium sour bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter with sweet undercurrent. Quite refreshing - kinda reminds me of an Saison. Hides it substantial ABV very well. Good brew for the money. ken1 (2003) - DENMARK - APR 5, 2016

Opskriften varierer lidt fra år til år, men i år har jeg smagt den.
Den er fint humlet, med en del søde fra malten, kunne være bund i den, da den virker en smule tynd i det. rane (1060) - Nibe, DENMARK - NOV 29, 2015

Small bottle kindly preserved by the RBHD tasting party on Fridtjoffen. Misty orange body with a white rim. Nose carries dried apricots and scented eraserhead. Sweet and alco warm with a stale and lasting bitterness. Full bodied. gunnar (9085) - Sandnes, NORWAY - MAY 9, 2014
Shared bottle at local tasting. ABV 7%. Pours light hazed dark golden with a small white head. Aroma is dark malty, red ripe fruits. Taste is moderate sweet, caramel, with a juicy bitter fruity addition, nice spicy hops finish. Holmen1 (5867) - Stavanger, NORWAY - MAY 9, 2014
Fra flaske (bb. 290114) på RBHD-treff ombord på Fridtjofen mai-14: 7%, ikke 8% som RB skriver. Humlearomaen og bitterheten tenderer mot beskhet. Ufrisk. Allikevel noe ved den som gjør at jeg må prøve å finne den i fersk 2014-utgave. Sigmund (7458) - Tau, NORWAY - MAY 9, 2014
Shared 500 ml bottle, vintage 2012 or 2013, BB date 29.01.14. ABV is 7%. Bought in Denmark. Orange colour, moderate white head. Aroma of caramel. Flavour of caramel, some fruit, alcohol and bittering (German?) hops. Lagerish mouthfeel. Okay.
