Bottled (backlog). Deep golden colour, small white head. Aroma is herbs, mild alcohol, some metallic notes as well as some ripe fruits. Flavour is quit esimilar with some strange herbal notes.

Porse Bock is a light bock, which smells very good of bog myrtle and floral hops, but not exactly produce the flavors I expect a bock. The taste is a good malt sweetness to start with, and the consistency of the sweet gale - which largely replaces hops - is also very well balanced. The typical characteristics of a bock should have, I do not think I can find in this beer. It is somewhat messy in its expression, and it is very fast anonymous and boring.

[email protected] Nr 2. Small head. Copper clear. Low Caramalty aromas. Two years old. No bog myrtle aromas in my nose. Must be evaporated. Plain acceptable bock though.

Golden, white head.
Aroma: plain lager, grassy, biscuity malt.
Taste: grassy, biscuity malt, sweet, an odd floral/perfumy bitterness, some licorice.
Medium-bodied, high carbonation.
This wasn’t good. More than anything, I’m disappointed in the beer itself - not the added porse. More cheap lager than a bock.

Bottle. Deep golden colour with a white head. Aroma is bogmyrtle, berries, malt. Flavour is bogmyrtle, malt, hop, alcohol, metallic, fruit, berries. Ordinary beer.

rane (1102) - Nibe, DENMARK - SEP 20, 2011
Bottle. Golden with dense white head. Aroma mainly sweet and malty, the bog myrtle is very supressed. I think some of their other bog myrtle beer are bettter, or is it a matter of how fresh the beer is ? Taste sweet alcoholic and a quite rough bitter finish.

JanLaursen (3226) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - SEP 13, 2011
Clear golden beer with a lush, but quickly disappearing white head. Intense aromatic nose with sweet, distinct herbal notes of grass and hay - might be the sweet gale (ind danish: porse)? The flavor is medium sweet and medium bitter, very herbal, slightly spicy, with a slight metallic undertone. Medium body. Dry, Lingering bitter finish. Quite refreshing. Maybe a tad too sweet.
