COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

50 cL bottle. Pours clear yellow with a huge chalk white head. Bog myrtle aroma, grassy and malty. Flavour is mellow malty with smoothness and flavour from the bog myrtle. Solid bitterness lingering in with the herbal notes and the mellow sweet malt base. Ends with a soft malt flavour broken by bog myrtle and bitterness. Solid.

[Bottled on the premiere day for the commercial version] This beer is brewed with almost six times as much bog myrtle than the Porse Guld - and that shows. The aroma is very strong of bog myrtle with underlying notes of sweet malt and straws. The color is yellow and it has a beutiful lasting head. The flavor is really nice; sweet malty with very nice strong notes of bog myrtle that prickles the palate. A really good beer - the best Danish "gold" beer, that I've tasted.

Bottled. Clear yellow coloured with a small white head. Malty aroma with notes of sweet gale and spicy notes. Malty flavour with spicy notes and a nice hoopy finish. Not very different from Porse Guld, but Porse Guld Extra is a bit more bitter.

Bottled. Golden colur, small white head, Aroma is bogmyrtle, some caramel, mild candysugar and also some mild malty notes. Flavour is quite much the same. Not that bad.

UPDATED: OCT 24, 2010 (Bottle 33 cl) Brewmaster Clemmensen of Thisted Bryghus claims to be 3 years in the developing of a new beer. Well, if that’s the case please don’t blame me for having high expectations when eventually there’s a new beer from this sympathetic brewery.
Pilsener golden with a decent head. This is an "extra" version of the brewery’s bog myrtle lager. Main problem is, that you don’t really taste the extra dose. What’s left is a good, hoppy strong lager. I just expected more and hence this is quite a disappointment. 281004

Gut! 9/10/11/12/8/10

Clean light yellow color. Soapy aroma, very cheap. Ordinary taste, a bit malty and correctly bitter, even difficult to tell immediately that it's made with herbs.
