COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Danish: Øllet er den gamle brygmesters sidste og dermed ultimative overgærede porter i 23-forsøgsserien. Historien er, at når den gamle brygmester (efter egen mening) havde fremstillet ”verdens bedste” overgærede porter, kunne han lade sig pensionere med den øl. Og det sker så nu inden så længe. Øllet er brygget på Thisted Bryghus med Christian Skovdal Andersen som gæstebrygger – den formentlig eneste gæstebrygger i Peter Klemensens funktionsperiode på Thisted Bryghus. Christian Skovdal Andersen er kendt for sin specielle humlingsmetode. Fusionen mellem Christian Skovdal Andersens humlingsmetode og Peter Klemensens stenølsproduktion håber begge på bliver succesfuld. Døm selv. Øllets bitterstofindhold er ca. 80 IBU.

Idiosynkrasie (7508) - Bielefeld, GERMANY - NOV 1, 2013
500ml bottle. Darkest brown colour with average to huge, frothy to creamy, fairly lasting, moderately lacing, beige head. Dark malty, minimally vinous aroma with dry hoppy overtones has fruity notes red berries, a dry touch of fruit parings, grapes, an herbal touch, a peppery spicy yeasty prick in the nose. Taste is dry dark malty, minimally salty, minimally roasty, minimally vinous, hints of very dry dark chocolate.

Deep brown pour with a dark tanned head. Heavy liquorice on the nose along with some malts and roast. Taste is also heavy liquorice, almost some ammonia notes as well. Slick on the palate.

Bottle: Thanks to Joes: Served in a snifter: Medium sized brown foamy head on top of a black colored beer. Aromas of orange, marzepin, some roast, flowers, cream, cacoa, ash, hay and grains and soap. Flavours of liquorice, toffee, bitter, hay roast, malt toast, marzepin, some red ish fruit like berries and cherry, hint of liquorice and some hints of toffee. Aftertaste is bitter, roasty and some chocolate. Low carbo, soft creamy mouthfeel, medium to lightly fuler body and a creamy texture.

Bottle shared by Joes. Opaque pitch black color, small beige head. Smell and taste malts, some hops, lightly some hops still, roastyness, lightly alcohol. Dry finish. Lovely beer imo. Very nicely balanced, lovely mouthfeel. Nice!

24-MAY-2013, bottle @DØE Ølfestival 2013. Almost black with low tan head. Aroma is sweet roast, licorice, soy, touch of smoke. Taste the same. Sweet roast. Nice body, soft carbonation but fitting. Nice porter.
