Bottled. Very dark brown/black coloured with a red gleam. Light brown head. Roast, coffee, spice, chocolate, herbs and light liqourice. Flavour of liqourice, roast, coffee, brown sugar, spice and herbs. Medium to full bodied. Dry. Is roasty and sugary bitter end. Moolesen (566) - NETHERLANDS - OCT 16, 2009
Bottle 50cl. Colour is black, very nice creamy head. For a porter style, there is a remarkable freshness in the nose, but also the charateristic asfalt, tar and dark chocolate notes are present. In the taste there is a very pleasent presence of raspberries/blueberries combined with the bitterness of a high quality porter. This is a very nice beer, which challenges your taste buds saxo (18548) - Højbjerg, Aarhus, DENMARK - OCT 16, 2009

500. Thanks, Maria! Pours jet black with a nice foamy, rocky tan head. Roasty chocolate and some CO2 on the nose. Creamy medium body with roast and dark baking chocolate on the mid-palate. Long roasty dark finish. MesandSim (7117) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - AUG 30, 2009
A Sim rate (bottle at chris o’s pre-GBBF): So incredibly fresh. It’s hops in a fresh-green-grass-has-just-been-cut sort of way. The flavour’s bitter at first with a hops kick that cuts across the back of your mouth. So bitter and then sweet with chocolate and caramel.
