COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Sk. Skt. Nikolaus har en alkoholprocent 8,2%

larsga (7627) - Oslo, NORWAY - JAN 7, 2017
Big beige head. Barely translucent deep dark red body. Spicy dried fruit aroma with liver (?!?) notes. Dryish earthy spicy dried fruit taste with mineraly notes. Mid-bodied. Mild, soft mouthfeel. Dry wooden bark and too much spice aftertaste with cinnamon and dried fruit notes. It’s not actively bad, but it’s not very nice, either. Something about the spice profile is just overpowering. (0.63l bottle, from somewhere in Denmark.)

63 cl bottle, shared. Slightly hazy amber colour with a thin, lightly tanned head. Sweet aroma with caramel malts, wooden and toasted notes, vineous impressions and yeasts. Taste is light sweet. Medium to full body with a creamy texture and a soft carbonation. Finishes slightly dry with caramel malts and vineous notes. Nice Winter warmer.

CloakedDagger (2711) - - DEC 23, 2016
Bottle 63 cl. Pours a dark, reddish brown with a beige head. Spicy clove aroma, vague roast underneath. Rich, filling body, subtle roast, Belgian yeast and again quite some Xmas spices. But absolutely no traces of the noble hops and oak chips. For all the effort they went through to make this, the end result is somewhat underwhelming. But by no means a bad beer. It just promises much more that it delivers. 231216

Skinnyviking (9674) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - DEC 19, 2016
63 cl. bottle at home Medium high creamy long lasting off-white head. Clear albeit very dark brown body. Sweet cocoa caramel aroma with a spicy note. Mild and sweet creamy and smooth cocoa caramel spicy flavor with a touch of lemon as well. Fair amount of hops bitterness. Low carbonation. Long sweet finish. Would never have guessed the alcohol level.
