Bottle at Thisted Bryghus. High fluffy lasting off-white head. Clear brown body. Cinnamon clove aroma and flavor with a fair amount of hops bitterness, Low carbonation, long finish. NosirIwont (2547) - Frederikssund, DENMARK - MAY 13, 2017
Bottle. 7.0%. Best before 13.10.18. Pours a clear, dark, reddish amber/brown, with a light tan head. Good lacing. Peculiar aroma: Sweet and sourish, the sourness diminishing as it warms, and taking on a sort of lactose/yogurt-y likeness. Dark fruits and malt. A bit spicy. Hint of a wooden overtone. Flavour is sweetish with dark fruits and malt as well, the malt bordering molasses. Spices; cloves? A bit tart. Dryish, mildly bitter finish, the bitterness feels a bit unbalanced. Light spices; fennel?, lingering. Overall okay, interesting. 13.05.17. madsberg (11773) - Søborg, DENMARK - APR 30, 2017

63 cl bottle. Pours clear and golden amber with a small tan head. Aroma is nutmeg and caramelish. Christmas biscuit. Bitter, herbal. Slight spiced and herbal. Dry and spiced far finish. TorbenJensen (1532) - Valby, DENMARK - FEB 8, 2017
Beautiful dark beer with beige coarse foam. The aroma is ripe berries and taste is initially slightly roasted malt with a subtle flavor of star anise and cardamom. Notes of caramel malt blends in well with the savory taste of Christmas, but a typical Belgian dubbel is not completed. It tastes rather in the direction of a good full-bodied Amber ale, and its storage with oak chips can not be denied. Maybe it will be a bit to sweet in taste, but fortunately it has a reasonable hoppy bitterness that brings together the spicy taste towards the end, so the beer becomes enjoyable and associates mind for the recent Christmas season. It’s probably a decidedly seasonal beers best suited for Christmas, and it is also for this purpose it is brewed, so I consider it as approved, for at Christmas time it is allowed that everything is a little sweeter than usual standard. Flaske. Dansk juleøl når det er bedst/værst. Al for sød og al for mange julekrydderier, men en fin bitterhed samler det meget godt og når det nu er jul er det egentlig meget godt.
