Bottle, 50cl. Still a lot of green stuff going on at the label. New Nordic. Branded well, marketing stuff all over. Pine, grass, herbs, perfumed aroma with berries, bubble gum and some other stuff that I cant quite get right. Lets call it "other stuff". Sweet, citric candy flavour. Raspberry berries. Honey and pine. Resinous. Resin. And... well more "other stuff". Sour and light bittersweet finish. Soft carbonation and thin, oily, light sticky body and texture. Quite fun to try. But, not something I will drink regular.

Copenhagen 4/3 2017. 50 cl bottle from Ftex. Another New Nordic feature from Thisted. A lot of local green things on the label which they have put into this brew without hops. Makes you wonder if hops are not Nordic for some reason?! Pours slightly hazy pale yellow with very bubbly white head which disappears almos immediately. Leaving what looks mostly like a urine sample. Aroma is quite herbal. Resin, citrus, pine, spruce and a little sugary and malty. Medium carbonation and watery palate. Flavor is not very intense. Medium sweet followed by very light sourness. Aftertaste is herbal sweet and fairly short and thin. Pretty thin herbal fellow. And Birch is a poor substitute for hops.

Bottle 500ml @ Parents place
Pours clear golden with a white head. Aroma has notes of malt, pine, grass, apple, sugar and yeast. Taste is light to medium sweet and light bitter with a long apple, yeasty, grass and piney finish. Body is medium, texture is thin to oily, carbonation is soft.

Bottle from gift box. Smell of spruce needles, light malts, herbs. Moderate sweet, spruce andre herbs, probably birch laveste. Quite enjoyable

Bottle. As Cold Hawaii Birk, Fyr og Gran. A lightly hazy golden colored beer with a moderate off-white head. Caramel fruity and herbal aroma with piney hints. Rather sweet flavor, with notes of alcohol. Pine and birch sap, some caramel. Medium to full body, very soft carbonation. Mostly fruity finish. Interesting, but not a winner. 160928

Medium white head quickly shrinks to small. Clear yellow body with carbonation. Citric winter apple aroma with herbal wild berry notes. Rough, but pleasing. Sweet fruity raspberry taste with floral mealy herbal notes. Mid-bodied. Mild, mealy, fizzy mouthfeel. Dry-sweet citric candy aftertaste with raspberry and unidentifiable fruits. I really liked this. Unusual, harmonic, and full of flavour. A bit of a rough edge to some of the flavour, but I dont mind. (0.5l bottle, from Salling, Aarhus.)
