Bottled. Clear golden colour. Low white head. Citric hops and lots of it, as if it’s been dry hopped. Very American. Citric hops dominate flavour also with swimming-pool-like hops and nutmeg. Great tasting beer, with adedd spices? Above light body. Good, long bitterness.

Skinnyviking (9670) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - OCT 1, 2009
Bottle. High creamy and lasting white head. Clear yellow body with a lot of bubbles. Lowely sweet and mild floral barley malt aroma, simple and good. Relatively high carbonated barley malt flavor with a good deal of hops bitterness. The fruityness is relatively subdued though. Long aftertaste.

Bottle. Spicy aroma with hops, liquorice and fruits. Golden amber colour with beige head. Very bitter flavour like grapefruit with a twist of liquorice. Very dry and bitter aftertaste from the strong hops.

500 ml bottle. Dark golden body with a god, big off-white head. Aroma is refreshing citric hoppy and floral with some malt. Flavor is mild malty, fruity, some caramel and balanced bitter. This feels refreshing, tasty, well balanced and surprisingly well made from Thisted.

Bottle. With Thisted being an old Danish brewery, I didn’t expect an American-style pale ale when I cracked this one open, but I was wrong. It poured a clear, slightly pale golde body, with a fine off-white head leaving nice lacings. The aroma was citrusy and piney on a malty backbone that was a bit too weak. There was some soapy notes as well, but they disappeared rather quickly, luckily enough. The flavor was citrusy, piney and malty with the hops dominating, but it wasn’t too bitter. Full body and a little astringency from the hops. Fruity, bitter finish. I found it a bit one-dimentional on the hoppy side, but it was quite quaffable, and even though it’s only 5.1% ABV, some alcohol could be detected. Quite nice one though. (080112)
