En lettere sd og noget maltet julel. Efter min mening en af de bedste fra Thy. Den smager ikke dicideret af jul, da den nok ikke indeholder kanel e.l., men en rigtig godt alternativ til julefrokosten.

Copenhagen 8/1 2015. 33 cl bottle from Meny. People on skated and idyllic old mill on the label. Just to get you in the Christmas mood. Pours clear pale yellow with white head. Settles as beautiful 1 cm thick creamy layer of foam. Aroma is quite sharp sour and laden with alcohol. Cloying sweetness in the background. Low carbonation and slightly thick palate. Taste is sweet and malty. A little spicyness and roastiness. Intense notes of alcohol. Only a little bitterness in aftertaste. But a lot of alcohol. They write on the back of the bottle that this harmonious pilsner godes it's high alcohol percentage really well. Like an Elephant in the livingroom.

I mentionned a lot of times that christmas beers are not a style of their own. Every beer can be named "christmas" as long as its seasonal (I suppose, thats the only similarity of all christmas brews). This one is a Bock, you might even say a Doppelbock, seen its alcohol percentage. The taste is heavy alcoholic while the body stays medium. Thge malt sweetness gives the impression that youre drinking a high percentage drink. There is a little ennoying metal taste and the hop could play its role better (maybe use some fresh hops?). Well, an everage brew - but very strong! If you want to get drunk fastly - take this one. Its easy to drink and heavy and you wont regret pouring it down your throat without tasting it really.

---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle. Pours light golden color with airy, thin off-white head. Aroma is malt and grainy, little fruitiness and hobs. Metallic as well. Harsh dominant bitter taste, clear alcohol and a skunky, metallic finish. Dry and lacks balance. Not very pleasant. Average carbonation.
