Rating #521, brought to Easter Brew Tasting ’11 by Adam

A yellow beer, lousy head. Aroma is alcohol and sour malts. Flavour is sweet, metallic and alcoholic. If it wasn’t for the horrible and ridiculously metallic last sip in the glass, this would actually be drinkable as the sweetness (glucose) for the greatest part balances out the metal and alcohol. Only good thing about this beer is the thick and soft palate. This is a really boozy beer and it hasn’t the least to do with a heller bock. Were talking strong pale lager or even malt liquor here. Thisted Bryghus has as always dissapointed me.

Bottle. Pours a clear, golden/straw yellow with an off-white head. Bit of lacing. Sweetish cereal aroma. Becomes tart as it warms and develops slightly milky notes. Flavour is sweetish with cereal and grassy notes. Bit of hops and milky notes as well. Finish is grainy – plain and simple. 24-07-09.
