as 6 Porter. Lovely aroma, black currant, chocolate, hint of coffee. Opaque, light brown firm head, very nice lace. Light sweet, dry, chocolate, hint of licorice and coffee, black berries, light sourish in the finish, light bitter. Medium body, dry mouth feel.
Bottle. Black pour, thin tan head. Aroma of roasted malts, chocolate, hazlenut and coffee. Flavor is bitter roasted with some sweet bread. Nice balance. Very decent porter. RichardW (1813) - Carlisle, Cumbria, ENGLAND - JUL 15, 2011
From vin-og-gaver.dk. Richly aromatic, bordering on medicinal. Thick and chewy, quite vineous. A truly strange flavoured beer, which, I think, is a great example of the style. Jet black, bittersweet and complex, with hints of sherry and whisky becoming apparent. Warming, very interesting and quite unlike anything I’ve had before! brnandersen (3902) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - JUN 17, 2011
0,5 l. bottle from the supermarket. Black colour with a light brown head - almost "smooth". Aroma is heavy malty, hard roasted ,almost burned, and weak notes of chocolate and licorice. Taste is medium sweet, with bitterness in the finish, where some alcohol kicks in. Medium to full body, a nice porter, however not as superb as the Limfjordsporter. Very good price - taste ratio.
